EDIT (1): I just finished watching it and that was not the full cast interview. So hopefully they post more videos. Fingers crossed.

EDIT (2): And I just finished watching the one-on-one videos and that wasn’t the whole thing either. They only showed 22 seconds of Aaron’s interview. And I remember him saying he was talking to Tricia for about 20 minutes. So I assume everyone else talked for that long too. Oh well, I guess it’s better than nothing but I really wish they would upload the full interviews.

YAY!!! We finally have an airdate for OPERATION CHRISTMAS DROP. November 5, 2020 on Netflix. This is the movie that Aaron filmed in Guam in July 2019.

Premiering Nov. 5, the holiday rom-com is the first scripted film to shoot on the island of Guam

Allow Netflix to transport you to the Pacific Ocean island of Guam this holiday season.

PEOPLE can exclusively announce that Operation Christmas Drop will premiere November 5. Starring Kat Graham, Alexander Ludwig and Virginia Madsen, the rom-com is the first movie to shoot in the U.S. territory.

Here’s the synopsis: “Chasing a promotion, congressional aide Erica Miller forgoes family Christmas to travel across the Pacific at her boss’s behest. Upon landing at a beachside Air Force base, she clashes with her guide, Captain Andrew Jantz, who knows her assignment is finding reasons to defund the facility. The pilot’s pet project — Operation: Christmas Drop, a genuine, decades-old tradition where gifts and supplies are parachuted to residents of remote neighboring islands — has lawmakers wondering if his unit has too much spare energy. Despite their initial opposing goals, Erica softens once she experiences the customs and communal spirit of Andrew’s adopted home.”

Written by Gregg Rossen and Brian Sawyer, the movie was directed by Martin Wood and produced by Brad Krevoy and Steve McGlothen. Amanda Phillips Atkins, Jimmy Townsend, Eric Jarboe and Amy Krell served as executive producers.

It’s the second Netflix Christmas rom-com for Vampire Diaries alum Graham, 31, who starred in 2018’s The Holiday Calendar, also produced by Kevoy. The actress says she loved the “humanitarian aspect” of this particular script.

“I love the fact that it was about a real mission that the Air Force does every year,” she says. “I loved that I was playing a congresswoman’s aide, [working] to shut down the mission. In a lot of ways it was the opposite to our last film, as this character was a bit of a Grinch. It was so much fun to read, and even more fun to shoot. It’s the most fun I have ever had on a set.”

As for being the first major project to shoot on the island? Both Graham and Ludwig, 28, agree it was a unique experience.

“The best part of shooting in Guam was always being close to the water and really shooting in paradise,” Graham says. “The challenges of shooting in Guam was that there has never been a scripted film that has ever shot there before. We were the first, and it definitely felt like it. Thank God for a great producer!”

Says Ludwig, “Guam was such a cool experience — I mean, when else would I ever get a chance to go there? Best part, hands down, was experiencing life on the base and getting to know the island. Challenge had to be the heat.”

Working on a fully functioning Air Force Base was surreal, to say the least. “The security was incredibly tight on the base,” Graham says. “There were jets flying above our heads while we were shooting scenes. It was one of the most remarkable experiences I’ve ever had.”

“We had so much fun flying around with the actual Air Force,” she says. “It was super badass.”

Ludwig admits this isn’t his typical line of work, but he’s proud of what they produced.

“I felt that it would be so great to be a part of something that everyone could watch and just feel good about afterwards,” he explains. “The world needs love right now. It’s such a beautiful thing they are doing overseas and I was humbled to be able to shed a light on it.”

“A big shout-out to the men and women who help with the drop every year,” he adds. “Over 50,000 pounds of humanitarian aid is dropped to people living on some of the most remote islands on the planet, and without them, these people wouldn’t be able to get by. It’s amazing what they do.”

In their downtime, the cast and crew made the most of their surroundings.

“We all took a boat to a nearby island and went jet skiing, that was a blast,” Ludwig says. “Me and a few of the service men and women actually did a hike with their kids in the jungle and we had to trek through a river to get out because we got lost. It definitely made for a fun story.”

“I loved exploring the island and found really cool watering holes and secluded beaches,” Graham adds. “The people were so special and amazing. Guam is definitely one of my favorite places in the world.”

Both hope the movie brings viewers some much-needed comfort and joy this holiday season.

“It’s a reminder that amongst all this craziness, there are good people doing good things in this world all the time,” Ludwig says. “And this film celebrates that.”

VAN HELSING: Season 4 on NETFLIX (USA)

FOR FANS IN THE USA 🇺🇸: Season 4 of VAN HELSING will be available on NETFLIX from tomorrow (September 27). Aaron is in the last 3 episodes of S4 (4×11, 4×12, 4×13) playing Colonel Nicholson. Tricia Helfer (Number Six on BSG) is in episodes 4×07 and 4×13 playing Dracula. All other countries with Netflix got S4 back in February.

#BSG15Years – 2×10: Pegasus

15 years ago today, the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA episode 2×10: Pegasus aired on September 23, 2005 on the Sci Fi Channel in the USA.

AARON DOUGLAS: “In a dark show this is one of the darkest episodes. It is hard to watch. It was hard to film. The subject matter is horrifying and disturbing. For these reasons I have chosen to include just a short piece, a feeling of one of the horrifying scenes, in the hopes of helping people understand the context but also to honour Grace’s powerful performance. Along with this snippet I’ve included the end scene where Helo and Chief are being taken away after being arrested for, what in my mind, is being good human beings.

I believe that Grace and Tricia should’ve won every award available to them, and more. The performance of these two ladies is incredible, indelible and profound. I am so fortunate to have shared the screen with such amazing actors. Thank you ladies for what I know touched the lives of many viewers.

In the scene where Chief and Helo run down the hall to intervene in what is happening in that cell…. I can’t even describe it. At the beginning of each take Tahmoh and I hear the screams of Grace and he’s like an angry bear on a chain and only “action” releases the chain. I ran in front because I knew he’d leave me in the dust. Tahmoh is an amazing father, son, brother, friend and his instinct to protect Grace took over every acting instinct he had. It was one of those occasions where “acting” isn’t really that difficult. The difficulty lies in remembering you’re in a make believe moment. He is an amazing man, a great actor and a wonderful friend and I was so lucky to get to share that scene and moments with him. Thank you Tahmoh.

And thank you Michael Rymer for helping us navigate the incredible writing of Anne Cofell Saunders. As with every moment I’ve had on screen that Michael has directed I was so blessed to have his mentorship to aid me in understanding the material far beyond my own personal experiences in life. Michael has this incredible ability to get you to places of emotional availability that you didn’t realize you had nor did you see him leading you there. He’s a phenomenal director and a wonderful person.

Speaking of wonderful people…. This week has been a tough one for the BSG family. As many of you know Michael Hogan is in a serious battle after sustaining a life changing injury. The pledges of love, support, money and all else have been overwhelming for our BSG family. You are all a great part of our lives and extended BSG family. Thank you. I got to go to the construction building and watch them build the Blackbird in stages for filming. We shot this whole episode in sequence, rarely done, and every day the construction people would wheel in the next build of the ship. It was very cool. #BSG15Years

Chief is having ALL the emotions in this scene with Athena and it’s heartbreaking. Their exchange is a scene that has stuck with me all these years. But OMG I really want to smack Helo. He stole the Chief’s girlfriend, got her pregnant and then has the nerve to act all pissy. Yeah, it was a different model but Helo didn’t know that at the time. So Helo can frak off. Frak all the way off. I absolutely adore Tahmoh but oh my gods, I can’t stand Helo. I’m glad the Chief got to punch him in ‘Flight Of The Phoenix’ 🤣

METAL CRUSH MONDAY: Podcast (August 17, 2020)

Here is the podcast for SYFY WIRE’S METAL CRUSH featuring Scott Ian from the band ANTHRAX, with a surprise guest appearance by Aaron Douglas.

The podcast is 46 minutes in length. Aaron is on at time stamp 35:53 – 45:52. But start from time stamp 32:33 for the lead up to it. Or just listen to the whole thing. To be honest, I was actually not looking forward to having to listen to the whole thing because I have zero care factor about heavy metal / horror movies. But it was actually quite interesting. I really enjoyed it. The host Whitney Moore is a GREAT interviewer. She is really engaging and her questions kept me interested.

In the introduction to the podcast Whitney says: “…Later in the episode we surprise him (Scott Ian) by bringing on Aaron Douglas from Battlestar. Aaron talks to Scott and me about his love of heavy music and his memories of meeting Scott for the first time in August 2006. I swear Scott had no idea we were going to be doing this and he seemed so surprised and happy to see Aaron, it was so sweet”.

I’m really looking forward to watching the YouTube video of this (which is being released later today) to see the look on Scott’s face when he sees Aaron 😃

METAL CRUSH MONDAY: Airing today (August 17, 2020)

Aaron’s appearance on SYFY WIRE’S METAL CRUSH with Scott Ian from the band ANTHRAX is happening TODAY (August 17, 2020). There are 3 parts to it.

(1) PODCAST: At 6:00am ET across all major platforms (Apple, Spotify, etc) the full interview with Scott Ian and Aaron Douglas will be available to download/listen to.

(2) YOUTUBE: At 11:00am ET a 25 minute video from the Scott Ian and Aaron Douglas interview will be uploaded on the SYFY WIRE YouTube page. NOTE: Unfortunately the video will be geo-blocked. Meaning that anyone outside of the USA can’t watch it.

METAL CRUSH MONDAY: Aaron Douglas & Scott Ian (Promo Video)

Below is the promo video for Aaron’s appearance on SYFY WIRE’S METAL CRUSH this coming Monday with Scott Ian from the band ANTHRAX.

The interview with Scott Ian will air during the movie ‘Underworld: Blood Wars’ on SyFy (USA) on Monday August 17 at 7:30pm. During the interview Aaron shows up as the surprise guest.

Two episodes have already aired and what I’ve learnt from those, is that they put the interviews up on the SyFy Wire YouTube page (approx. 20 mins) and there is also a podcast which has the extended interview, which is about 45 mins to an hour. So once both of those have been uploaded, I will post the links 😀

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: Now streaming on STAN (Australia)

AUSTRALIA: Battlestar Galactica is available to watch on STAN starting from today. The attached image says that season 1-4 is available but my friend Lisa (thank you, Lisa) checked it for me and the Miniseries, Razor and The Plan are on there as well. If you’re looking at it on your phone, they are under the “Trailers and Extras” tab.

As I have mentioned previously the Chief’s final scene in ‘Daybreak’ is missing in the episode airing on Amazon Prime, Peacock, SyFy website and Comet (it was also missing when the episodes were on Netflix). Lisa checked and has confirmed that the Chief’s final scene *IS* in the episode airing on STAN 😀

NOTE: The scene was included when the episode original aired on tv. It’s also on the DVD/Blu-rays and iTunes.

A few hours into shooting I said “hey! I should have a sling. I was shot in the previous episode”. The director and 1st AD agreed. So we had to go back and reshoot everything. Then I tried for a nap but got rag dolled by Grace and stabbed in the neck by @jamescallis. #BSG15Years


This scene is a sentimental favourite of mine because it’s the first scene I’d ever watched of BSG.

When I met Aaron I had no idea who he was, I had no idea what BSG was (scroll a few posts back for that story). The following week after meeting him I was on vacation in NYC. While I was getting ready to go out to dinner with a friend I thought “let me check out that tv show that guy is on”. I turned on the tv and started flipping through the channels looking for BSG.

It was a new episode. People are shouting insults at a woman in handcuffs being led down a hallway. There he (Aaron) is, walking behind her. So yay, I’ve found the show. And then a 12 year old steps out and shoots the woman in handcuffs. And as she’s dying in his arms she says “I love you, Chief”. I messaged Aaron and asked him if his character loved her too. He told me I’d have to watch the show and find out for myself. So when I got back home to Australia I started at the miniseries and was instantly hooked.

I think this might explain why I’m such a die hard fan of Chief and Boomer because finding out if he loved her was my reason for watching BSG. Chief & Boomer ❤️

METAL CRUSH MONDAY: Aaron Douglas & Scott Ian (Aug 17, 2020)

Aaron is going to be featured in Syfy’s new weekly segment called ‘Metal Crush Mondays’ with Scott Ian from the band ANTHRAX.

I’ll post the press release from SyFy at the bottom of this post.

These interviews will be shown on the SyFy channel (USA) every Monday starting August 3rd at 7:30pm during the airing of a movie. I think it’s going to kinda work like how the interviews with the BSG cast were broken up and slotted in during the BSG marathon that aired on SyFy back in April.

Aaron “crashed” the interview with Ian Scott from the band ANTHRAX. This interview will air during the movie ‘Underworld: Blood Wars’ on Monday August 17. Aaron “crashing” the interview was prearranged by the people at SyFy so that it would be a surprise for Scott. So that should be really fun to watch Scott’s reaction 🤯

And please don’t boo-hoo at me if you don’t live in the USA. I live in Australia, Aaron lives in Canada, so we both won’t be able to watch it either. But I think (???) from what they are saying in the press release that they’re going to put the interviews up on YouTube. I read that part 4 times and I still don’t quite understand. lol.

(2) I *LOVE* this scene. The Chief’s facial expressions just screams “Crashdown is an incompetent dumbass”. I wish they had left in the (as Ron Moore called it) ‘f-ck you salute’ part of the scene. “You’re out in the middle of everything, and the bad guys are watching. Whoever gets saluted is the highest-ranking guy. You don’t want to be saluted when they are trying to pick out who’s the guy they need to take down”.

 

(3) Another great scene. “Look, no disrespect, but like why are we always going uphill?” (lol). And I love that even though the Chief thinks that Crashdown is ‘insane in the membrane’ he is respecting his decision as the commanding officer.

Happy Friendaversary to us 💛

I first met Aaron on July 26, 2005. I had no idea who he was, I had no idea what BSG was. For the past 15 years he has been one of my closest friends. I adore him. He makes me laugh. He drives me crazy. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. AND he makes me the best meals I’ve ever eaten in my life (seriously!). Happy Friendaversary to us 💛

For those they haven’t heard it before, here is the story of how we met

I first met Aaron Douglas on July 26, 2005. I had no idea who he was, no idea what BSG was. For the past 15 yrs he has been one of my closest friends. I adore him. He makes me laugh. He drives me crazy. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

In 2005 I was in Vancouver for Gatecon. Gatecon is a four day sci-fi convention but unofficially it’s really a seven day convention with events in the evening as well, which means you get a lot of opportunities to interact with the actors. It was the 2nd day of the convention (July 26), the night of the cocktail party, where the actors are free to roam around & sit wherever they want for as long as they want. We were outdoors in the courtyard of the hotel. I was sitting with my friends and some other people and we were drinking and chatting. Debbie (one of the women who I had just met), dared me to go over and get Aaron and bring him back to our table. I don’t like sci-fi, I don’t watch sci-fi (why was I at a sci-fi convention, you may ask? That’s a whole other story for another time) so I say to her “who the hell is Aaron Douglas?!?”. She tells me he’s (insert character name) from Battlestar Galactica, I say “WTF is Battlestar Galactica?!?”. Back then I didn’t even know there was an original version of the show, let alone a reimagined version. I didn’t care about embarrassing myself because I had no idea who this guy was. And having an Aussie accent I knew I could pretty much get away with anything. Ha.

She described what he looked like, what he was wearing & pointed in the direction of where he was sitting. So I thought “why not?” and headed over that way. I waited for a break in the conversation he was having with fans, I politely interrupted and invited him to come sit with me and my friends when he was finished. He didn’t respond, he just sat there looking at me. And I thought “oh f-ck, this man is going to punch me in the throat”. After what felt like an ETERNITY he smiled and said he loved my accent. He got up and came back with me to my table and hung out with us for the rest of the evening. We continued to hang out, talk, laugh and drink over the next five days. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Side note: At the time we met, they had recently finished filming the S2 mid season finale ‘2×10: Pegasus’ and were having their wrap party on Sunday night. I met Aaron on Tuesday, that Friday ‘2×03: Fragged’ was airing for the very first time in the USA. I remember he had gotten a hold of the episode and held a screening of it for fans. I didn’t attend because I thought “I don’t care about your stupid little sci-fi show” (or words to that effect). You have no idea how much I kick myself for that now because Fragged is one of my favourite Chief episodes and to have gotten to watch it with him on his first viewing …

Update: Oops. I forgot to include this part of the story …. back then there was no such thing as smart phones. So the next day we used the hotel tv to google him. The first result that came up was “Aaron Douglas into Bondage” and we quickly turned off the TV thinking “WTF?!? Who is this freak?”. Of course what we didn’t know at the time, was that there was an African-American artist named Aaron Douglas who had a painting titled “Into Bondage”. It still makes me laugh 🤣 ~ Michelle

I would assume anyone reading this has already watched BSG when it aired on tv (DVD/Bluray). This post is just a heads up in case you have any friends/family that are watching for the first time on Peacock. And if you’ve ever only seen BSG on Netflix or Amazon Prime then this ‘missing scene’ might be news to you.

We never knew the scene had been cut until Aaron had fans at cons telling him how disappointed they were that the Chief got such a sucky ending. They had only ever seen BSG on Netflix. They thought this was his ending.

Cameo

The other day Aaron asked me if I’d heard of that CAMEO thing and should he join. So we’re working on getting him signed up and I’ll let everyone know once that goes live. For those of you unfamiliar with CAMEO, it’s a website (https://www.cameo.com) where you pay celebrities for a customized video shoutout. It can be a video for yourself or someone else. The Plague Nerdalogues

Aaron Douglas, Tricia Helfer and Rekha Sharma are just some of the actors that took part in THE PLAGUE NERDALOGUES project by Marc Bernardin (Tricia’s co-host on the BATTLESTAR GALACTICAST podcast).

The Plague Nerdalogues, is “a compilation of fan-favorite actors reenacting classic geek scenes from film and television, all for charity (No Kid Hungry)”. The minimum donation is $10 which gets you access to watch all of the videos. Marc tweeted that this is an ongoing project, so more videos will be added in the future.

Aaron did the Narrator from The Road Warrior (aka ‘Mad Max 2’) with a BSG twist. I won’t spoil it, you’ll have to watch it. Tricia did a scene from Kill Bill. Jonathan Frakes did Kirk’s eulogy from Wrath of Khan.

A new video series will feature actors from the nerdosphere — including Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica), Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek), Phil LaMarr (Samurai Jack) and Brea Grant (Heroes) — performing beloved monologues from the past to benefit No Kid Hungry.

Aptly named The Plague Nerdalogues, the series is a compilation of fan-favorite actors reenacting classic geek scenes from film and television, all for charity. For example, Frakes will take on the role of Captain Kirk, Helfer will perform as Bill from “Kill Bill” and Lamarr as Samurai Jack doing Inigo Montoya from “The Princess Bride.”

Other actors on the roster include Cameron Cuffe, David Dastmalchian, Azita Ghanizada, Todd Stashwick, Rob Benedict, Yuri Lowenthal, Rekha Sharma, Tiffany Smith and Damion Poitier.

The “Nerdalogues” will be uploaded to http://theplaguenerdalogues.com and available for a minimum $10 donation to No Kid Hungry. Once a donation has been made, viewers will receive a password that unlocks unlimited access to the platform as more video submissions continue to be posted.

GARAGE SALE MYSTERIES #16 (Searched & Seized): Available on DVD

For those of you in the USA, I found the final GARAGE SALE MYSTERIES movie available to purchase on DVD at Amazon. This is movie 16. It was the last GSM movie that was completed. They had one week left of filming on movie 17 when they were shut down (because Lori Loughlin was arrested for her involvement in the ‘college admissions bribery scandal’). Movie 16 has not aired in the USA, it has only aired in France (Jan 2020) and Canada (March 2020). Aaron gets quite a lot of screen time in this movie 😀

For those of you that were able to watch the BSG MARATHON on SyFy last month, did they ever show the group chat with Tricia, Katee, Bamber, Callis, Tahmoh, AJ, Aaron and Grace? BATTLESTAR GALACTICAST: Cast table read of ‘1×01: 33’

On the 15 year anniversary of the airing of the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA episode ‘1×01: 33’ I posted a video clip from the episode and a copy of the script that had different lines than what was said on screen. So either that was an old version of the script or Aaron ad-libbed the last line. I had a feeling it was the latter.

Today while listening to the latest Battlestar Galacticast podcast which was a table read of episode ‘1×01: 33’. Bodie was playing Chief Tyrol and he says “it’s gonna be alright” in response to Cally. So “shut up” *WAS* an ad-lib by Aaron. You can listen to the audio clip of the scene below.

This morning Aaron Douglas, Michael Trucco (Anders) and Rekha Sharma (Tory Foster) recorded an episode of Tricia Helfer’s BATTLESTAR GALACTICAST podcast for episode ‘3×20: Crossroads (Part 2)’. BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: BSG Marathon – starts tonight at midnight

The BSG Marathon starts TONIGHT (Sun April 19) at midnight ET (Sun night / Mon morning) on SYFY and ends on Thursday April 23 at 9:30am. Attached is a list of when the episodes will air according to the schedule on the SyFy website. The marathon will be hosted by Tricia Helfer and there will be a “number of surprise guest appearances” airing throughout the marathon.

I don’t know if they’re going to give everyone a heads up on when the individual interviews with the cast will air or if you’re just supposed to watch and be surprised. I assume it’s the latter because the whole point of the marathon is to encourage people to stay home and watch. The schedule has a new episode airing every hour (on average an episode runs for 44mins) so maybe they’ll break the interviews up into snippets and insert them in during the episodes along with some commercials (???). I honestly have no idea how it’s going to work. I would hope that they’re only airing the interviews on the SyFy channel in prime time because they can’t expect people to watch for 3 and half days straight so that they don’t miss out on an interview airing at 2am. Or maybe they’ll re-air the same interviews a few times (????).

If you can, I suggest that you DVR the marathon and then you can fast forward through the episodes looking for the interviews. And hopefully at some point in the future they will make those videos available to watch on the SyFy website or YouTube channel. And if you do watch it live, please let me know what ends up happening with the interviews. I live in Australia and can’t watch it.

GARAGE SALE MYSTERIES #16 (Searched & Seized): Airing on CTV Drama

What the frakking frakkity frak. Aaron’s GARAGE SALE MYSTERIES movie aired on Sunday night (March 8, 2020) in Canada and we had NO IDEA. This movie wasn’t even on my radar because I never thought it would ever see the light of day. Four new GSM movies were being filmed in Vancouver in early 2019. They were movies 16-19. Aaron is in movie 16, they had one week left of filming on movie 17 when Lori Loughlin was arrested for her involvement in the ‘college admissions bribery scandal’. As a result, the Hallmark Channel severed ties with her and edited her out of the remaining S6 episodes of WHEN CALLS THE HEART. All of that happening is why I thought the last completed GSM movie would never be released.

The CTV DRAMA website says the movie is “Stream Anytime”. So if you’re in Canada, go here https://www.ctvdrama.ca/Shows/Garage-Sale-Mysteries-Searched-And-Seized and click on the VIDEO tab and it will ask you to “Sign in to watch” and it gives you a list of service providers (Bell, Rogers, Shaw, Telus, etc). I’ve had Aaron check that this works and he has confirmed that it does. Now, if I can just get him to give me his login and password so I can watch it too 😉 The movie is also airing on tv tomorrow at 12 noon if you want to set it up to record.

There is also a ‘CTV Drama Channel’ app that you can download via the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).

 

Synopsis: Every year, Jennifer and her friend Miles Wexford participate in the organization of an auction of goods seized by the police. The night of the auction, Miles is found dead in his store. BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: Blackbird Model (Eaglemoss)

The next edition to the Battlestar Galactica Ships Collection is the one-of-a-kind Blackbird ship that was designed for stealth missions by Galactica’s maintenance chief Glen Tyrol.

The Blackbird ship was built from scratch with available materials and resembled a Viper Ship. The external armor was made from a black, non-reflective, carbon-fibre composite material, that masked its presence from both Cylon and Colonial radars, as well as gave the vessel its name. Equipped with enhanced sensors and surveillance systems, it was a perfect intelligence-gathering instrument.

This Battlestar Galactica Blackbird ship is brought to life with heavyweight die-cast metal and high-quality ABS materials. It captures the Viper-shape of the ship in a sleek black colour and little details, such as President Laura’s name painted on the fuselage. Eaglemoss has worked closely with members of the Galactica VFX team to ensure that the model is as accurate as possible.

The ship comes complete with a 16-page collector’s magazine providing an in-depth profile of the ship, exclusive behind the scenes articles, original design sketches, and an interview with the series developer, Ronald D. Moore.

Here is a different version of the above scene. I have no idea where this script came from, it’s been on an old external hard drive for years. But I want to believe that Aaron ad-libbed that last line and that’s what ended up in the episode.

EDIT: Just to clarify … The BSG miniseries aired 16 years ago (December 8, 2003). The first episode of Season 1 premiered in the USA 15 years ago (January 14, 2005). But this episode aired in the UK on October 18, 2004. In fact, all of the Season 1 episodes aired in the UK before the USA.

While asking questions in town, Will is cornered and attacked, but he’s saved when the compassionate Chief George intervenes. Meanwhile, after a six-month suspension, Detective Ivy Seymour is reinstated only to discover that her next case may be the one that breaks her. The number of missing women in the area is growing at an alarming rate and Seymour is sent to the latest tragedy. Deep in the forest, a body is found. An amputated leg, a head entirely encased in red wax; no one’s seen anything like it. The body turns out to be Sarah’s old roommate, and Seymour’s investigation points to the possibility of a serial killer in the area. After Ivy saves Will from a brutal beating, the two of them work together to find Sarah. Desperate to find his sister before it’s too late, Will must confront his family’s shameful past, make amends with the First Nations people and finally face his demons.

Aaron has organised a PRIVATE tour of the ‘USS Constellation’ for a maximum of 9 people (10 including himself). After the tour you’ll all go to lunch together at a restaurant nearby in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. The name of the restaurant will be revealed to the people attending. The cost of food and drinks is not included in the price.

(2) Lunch $65 *
This option is for those that just want to attend the lunch. The cost of food and drinks is not included in the price. If there are enough people wanting to attend, he’ll be able to reserve a private dining room at the restaurant.

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: NBC Reboot

Admit it. Who else was annoyed when they heard NBC was rebooting Ron Moore’s BSG? I sent off a text message full of the F-word (and it wasn’t Frak) to Aaron 😂. But then I felt a lot better after seeing the clarification from Sam Esmail, which I then sent to Aaron. I have no idea what Sam is planning but if his version is about life onboard one of the other ships then it would be great if some of the BSG cast could drop by for a guest appearance on an episode. Or even if the characters from the new show mentioned our BSG. Like someone complaining about Baltar winning the election and being President. lol.

UPDATE (February 14, 2020): In other Moore news, his famed Syfy series “Battlestar Galactica” is currently being rebooted for NBC Universals’s streaming service Peacock by “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail. How did Moore feel about this expansion to the universe he crafted? Pretty good! “Sam called me and was very gracious, he didn’t pitch me the story so I don’t know,” he said. “But he said his plans and he wasn’t going to re-start the show and recast it but he wanted to do something in the same universe. Sam’s amazing and I love ‘Mr. Robot.’ I was like, you know, ‘You’re an amazing guy and amazing writer, go with god!'”

I watched the first MYSTERY 101 movie before Aaron started filming the second movie so that I would be familiar with the main cast.

When Aaron told me he was going to be in the second MYSTERY 101 movie I went and watched the first movie so that I would be familiar with the main cast. Of course I recognised Kristoffer Polaha immediately. I’ve been a fan of Kris’ since I saw him on LIFE UNEXPECTED back in 2010. As a fan of that show it was so awesome to see Robin Thomas who played Kris’ dad on that show, playing Jill’s dad on MYSTERY 101.

So it’s an understatement when I say that I was SO EXCITED!!! when Aaron sent me a text and surprised me with this photo. The icing on the cake was having Aaron tell me how wonderful Kris is in real life. That made me so happy. And these past couple of months seeing how much Kris loves and cares about this movie just really makes me so heart happy. I can’t wait to watch.

MYSTERY 101 – PLAYING DEAD: Airing in the UK (July 13, 2019)

UK FANS: The movie MYSTERY 101: PLAYING DEAD will be premiering in the UK on Movies 24 on Saturday July 13th at 3pm (https://www.tvmovies24.com/schedule/13-07-2019). This is the movie that co-stars Aaron and Rekha Sharma (Tory Foster on BSG). I’ll post a reminder for you when it gets closer to the airing date.

AURORA TEAGARDEN MYSTERIES: 3 new movies airing in August

It was originally announced that the 3 new AURORA TEAGARDEN MYSTERIES movies (starring Candace Cameron Bure) would be airing in September. They will now be airing in AUGUST on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. Aaron Douglas is in movie number 12 (A Very Foul Play) airing on Sunday Aug 18.

KILLBIRD: Movie Premiere (June 23, 2019)

For those of you in Los Angeles, the movie KILLBIRD premieres next weekend at the Dances With Films festival. This movie stars Elysia Rotaru and Stephen Lobo, with cameos by Aaron Douglas and Tahmoh Penikett. Funny story … Aaron didn’t even know Tahmoh was in this movie, he showed up on set and they gave him a “cast umbrella” to use and it had Tahmoh’s name written on masking tape on it. Tahmoh had filmed his scenes on a previous day. So they’re both in the movie but no scenes together.

MYSTERY 101: Watch the 1st movie before 2nd one airs

As mentioned previously, Aaron is in the second MYSTERY 101 movie that is premiering on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on Sunday June 23, 2019 at 9pm/8c. In preparation for that you can watch the first MYSTERY 101 movie which is re-airing tonight (Sunday June 2) and again on June 14 at 9pm/8c.

I have watched all of the Garage Sale Mysteries and Aurora Teagarden Mysteries movies because Aaron is appearing in an upcoming movie for each of those series (note: the GSM one will probably never air). I preferred the storylines of the GSM movies and preferred the acting on the Aurora movies. I’ve already watched the first Mystery 101 movie and I liked it more than I did any of the GSM or Aurora movies. I hope the 2nd movie is just as good.

20 Year Anniversary of Aaron graduating from Acting School

On this day 20 yrs ago, Aaron Douglas graduated from Acting School (May 22, 1999)

STRANGERS COME TO HOPE VALLEY TO SETTLE A SCORE IN ‘WHEN CALLS THE HEART’

Strangers come to Hope Valley on When Calls the Heart, and Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) gets caught in the crossfire in A Call from the Past premiering Sunday, May 26, (9p.m. ET/PT), on Hallmark Channel. When she finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time, Elizabeth must escape the precarious situation brought on by Lucas’s (Chris McNally) mysterious past. Lee’s (Kavan Smith) business suffers when Gowen (Martin Cummins) hires his top employees away. Meanwhile, Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) hosts some out of town visitors, and finds that their help disturbs her otherwise peaceful domestic bliss.

Rosemary welcomes Grace back to town. She is traveling through Hope Valley after picking up a new orphan, Spencer. Carson tells Grace to bring him by his office as he looks a little ill. He examines Spencer and says he’s just anemic. Carson goes to give him some pills to help and realizes he is out of stock, without Faith around he has fallen behind at the office. Elizabeth, excited for the library’s opening, wants Lucas to cut the opening day ribbon, he insists she should do the honors. The two compromise and decide to cut the ribbon together.
Fiona connects a call for Lucas and overhears a woman saying that someone from Lucas’ past has found out where he is and is “coming after him.” Fiona runs into Elizabeth later on and opens up about the mysterious phone call. Elizabeth goes to talk to Lucas but when she arrives at the saloon she finds him closing up for the day and getting ready to head out of town. Concerned, she find Nathan, who decides to go after Lucas.

Mike gives his notice to Lee. He has decided to work for Henry. Lee understands as he can’t pay his staff as much money as Henry is offering. Jesse hears the amount Henry is offering and goes to speak to him about employment. The two make a truce to let the past stay in the past and Henry makes him a job offer.
A mysterious man arrives in town, though no one in Hope Valley notices his arrival. Grace and Rosemary catch up and shares what she and Lillian have in store at their orphanage. Jesse talks to Lee about the opportunity Henry is offering. Lee offers Jesse his support, no matter what Jesse decides. Jesse and Clara talk and she encourage him to do what makes him happy. Later on, Jesse visits Lee and tells him he wants to stay on in his current position.

Nathan catches up with Lucas and offers to help. Lucas at first pushes back and then decides to open up to Nathan about Amos, a man who set fire to his friends store after she was unable to pay back money due to him. Amos, just released from prison, is out for revenge on both Lucas and his friend. Nathan tells him to go back to town and he will call the local mountie in her town to help protect them both.

Elizabeth swings by the saloon to see if Lucas has returned and finds two strangers inside. She tries to leave but the men insist she stay until Lucas returns. Lucas comes back to saloon to find Elizabeth and the men who are now demanding $10,000. Lucas gives them all the money in his safe. Meanwhile, Nathan notices movement over at the saloon and decides to investigate. He knocks on the door and Lucas tries to get rid of him. Nathan, still concerned, decides to go around behind the saloon. He bursts through the backdoor of the saloon and is able to capture Amos, while Nick corners his partner in crime outside. Lucas desperately tries to apologize to Elizabeth, but she wants nothing more to do with him and rushes off to be with baby Jack. Nathan and Lucas share a heart to heart, where Lucas reveals he has no more secrets to keep.

WHEN CALLS THE HEART: Aaron’s episode now airing May 26

ICYMI: Aaron is guest starring in a S6 episode of WHEN CALLS THE HEART. His episode was originally meant to be episode 6×09. Three episodes had aired before the Lori Loughlin ‘college admissions scandal’. The show then went on a creative hiatus while they edited her out of the remaining episodes and as a result there is one less episode in S6. Which means there are now 9 episodes in S6 instead of 10.

Below is the new episode list for S6. Episode 6×04 is airing tonight (May 5, 2019) and episode 6×05 is airing tomorrow night (May 6) in the USA (Hallmark Channel) and Canada (Super Channel Heart & Home). Aaron’s episode is now episode 6×08 airing on May 26 at 9pm.

THE TWILIGHT ZONE: Airing in Australia on 10 All Access

For fans in AUSTRALIA. We’re getting THE TWILIGHT ZONE too. Only knew about this because I started getting spammed with ads for it on Facebook and Instagram.

10 All Access will be streaming the first 4 episodes on April 19. Which means that we will catch up in episodes with USA and Canada. The 4th episode airs over there on April 18 and we’re a day ahead in Australia (April 18 for them is April 19 to us). So if 10 All Access then starts airing new episodes every Friday then we will get episode 5 (Aaron’s episode – 1×05: The Wunderkind) on the same day as USA and Canada (it airs on Thursday for them). Downside is that you have to pay for it. ’10 All Access’ costs $9.99 a month with the first month for free‎.

EDIT: The first episode will be available to watch for FREE at 10.30pm Thursday 18 April on Channel 10 (and WIN Networks).

AURORA TEAGARDEN MYSTERIES: Aaron to guest star in Movie #12

Aaron recently completed filming a movie that is part of a series of movies. From this photo can anyone guess what those movies are? 99% of you will probably have no clue what this is. I’d never heard of them either. But hopefully this is exciting news for those of you that are fans of the movies. I do have a photo of Aaron with the lead actress from the movies but that would make it too easy. And yes, have at it with your silly guesses too 😉

 

EDIT: The answer to yesterday’s guessing game is …. the AURORA TEAGARDEN MYSTERIES movie series starring Candace Cameron Bure. Aaron will be in movie #12 titled A Very Foul Play. There will be 3 new Aurora Teagarden movies airing in September on the ‘Hallmark Movies and Mysteries‘ channel. Movie #10 airs on Sunday September 15th, Movie #11 airs on Sunday September 22nd and Movie #12 (the one that Aaron is in) airs on Sunday September 29th. I will post reminders once it gets closer to the airing date.

WHEN CALLS THE HEART: S6 will be returning May 5, 2019

Last month Hallmark stopped airing episodes of WHEN CALLS THE HEART when news of Lori Loughlin’s involvement in the ‘College Bribery Scheme’ broke. They announced that they were going on a “creative hiatus to do some retooling on the remaining Season 6 episodes”. Aaron guest stars in episode 9 of season 6 and his episode was originally meant to air on April 28th.

Today Hallmark announced that WHEN CALLS THE HEART will be returning with back-to-back episodes on Sunday May 5 and Monday May 6 (and then back to its regular Sunday night for the remaining episodes). So May 5th and 6th will be episodes 6×04 and 6×05. So Aaron’s episode (6×09: A Call from the Past) should air on Sunday June 2nd.

For fans in the USA, it’s finally here!!!!! UNSPEAKABLE premieres TOMORROW NIGHT (Thursday, April 4) on SundanceTV. It’s an 8-part miniseries and Aaron’s story arc starts in episode 4. They are playing 2 episodes a week on Thursday and Friday (9pm PT / 12am ET). I’m assuming they have on-demand because as much as we love Aaron, NO ONE on the east coast is staying up until midnight to watch. lol.

Look who I spotted in the trailers for the new THE TWILIGHT ZONE. Yes, the cat’s out of the bag. Aaron Douglas will be in episode 1×05: The Wunderkind starring John Cho, Allison Tolman & Jacob Tremblay.

If you’re in the USA the show airs on CBS All Access. The first two episodes aired today (April 1st, 2019). Aaron’s episode airs on April 25th.

If you’re in Canada the show is on CityTV. The first two episodes are airing April 4th. And then I’m assuming Aaron’s episode will air on the same day as the USA. But I’ll confirm as soon as I find out.

Does anyone remember the photo of Aaron and Allison Tolman that I posted back in November? It was taken on the set of THE TWILIGHT ZONE. But back then we weren’t allowed to say that.

TBT: BSG 4×11: Sometimes a Great Notion

#TBT. This is the alternate look for the Chief in the flashback scene for 4×11: Sometimes a Great Notion. In the episode they kept the glasses and got rid of the wig. In the S4 blooper reel they show the market place scene filmed with Aaron wearing the wig and an Elton John song playing (I think it was ‘Rocket Man’) 😂

 

For anyone that needs a reminder, this is how the Chief looked in the episode. I’ll have to ask him why they ditched the wig. Maybe they didn’t want us all laughing during that scene 😉

Oh man! Look at that hair! I remember them saying they needed a flashback look & someone said “do a wig & glasses”. So we shopped for glasses & hair made this wig. They put it on me & I went to set to show the look to producers & there were quiet but obvious snickers from the crew. Then someone said “it looks like the new Bon Jovi haircut”. Then one of the big wigs (see what I did there?) said “lose the wig”. Then I walked back to my trailer to the sounds of camera guys singing “oooohhh you’re halfway there… oh, OH! Living on a prayer!”

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: 10 Year Anniversary of final episode airing

Today is the 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the final episode of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA airing on March 20, 2009. Here is a video of the Chief’s final scene (which you would never have seen if you only watched the Netflix version). I hope he’s enjoying life in Scotland. UNSPEAKABLE: Final episode airs tonight in Canada

Tune in tonight (Wed Feb 27, 2019) at 9pm on CBC in Canada for the final episode of UNSPEAKABLE. I’m really going to miss Aaron and Amitai Marmorstein having scenes together. Those two together made me 😂🤣 so many times.

Fun fact for you DIRK GENTLY fans. That’s Caroline Cave in the background of this photo. She played Lux Dujour’s girlfriend Sammy on Dirk Gently. She plays Nurse Ann O’Malley on Unspeakable. And Amitai Marmorstein was in S2 of Dirk Gently. There’s SO MANY Dirk Gently actors that are also on Unspeakable. I should make a post about it (I will make that my next project).

WHEN CALLS THE HEART: S6 premieres tonight (Sunday Feb 24)

Season 6 of WHEN CALLS THE HEART premieres tonight (Sunday Feb 24, 2019) at 8pm in the US on the Hallmark Channel and in Canada on Super Channel Heart & Home. Aaron Douglas will be guest starring in episode 6×09. If they continue to air one episode each Sunday then his episode should be airing April 21st. But I’ll give everyone a heads up when it gets closer to the air date for his episode.

UNSPEAKABLE: Aaron’s third episode airs tonight (Feb 13, 2019)

Tune in tonight (Wednesday, February 13th) at 9pm on CBC in Canada for Aaron’s 3rd episode of UNSPEAKABLE (1×06: Krever). Tonight’s episode was written by Robert C. Cooper. Parts of UNSPEAKABLE are based on Robert’s life. He was born with hemophilia and required blood products which resulted in him contracting hepatitis C from tainted blood products in the 1980s.

FUN FACT: Aaron’s first tv gig was in Stargate SG-1 (playing Moac in episode 3×20: Maternal Instinct). That episode aired 19 years ago on Feb 25, 2000. And that episode was written by …… Robert C. Cooper.

Aaron Douglas hits 100 IMDb Acting Credits

CONGRATULATIONS!!! to Aaron for hitting 100 acting credits on IMDb ? So very proud of you. Here’s to so many more.

What’s everyone’s favourite character that Aaron has played? I know the majority of answers will be Chief Tyrol on BSG. But for me, it’s Gordon Rimmer on DIRK GENTLY. Jim Krepke on UNSPEAKABLE is a close 2nd.

EDIT: This should actually be 101 credits but there’s a couple of networks that make actors sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). So there’s something Aaron has already filmed that we’re not allowed to talk about until it’s aired. I’ve only been able to give everyone a heads up about these “NDA shows” in the past because I’ve known what show and episode and he’s been in the trailer (or in promo photos) so then it’s ok to post about it because they’ve announced it first *cough* The Flash, Supernatural, Salvation *cough*. I was watching S.W.A.T. last week and Tricia Helfer’s name came up in the opening credits and I was thinking “wait! what? She never mentioned that” and then it hit me “ohhhhhhh, NDA”.

UNSPEAKABLE: Will premiere in the US on SundanceTV (April 4, 2019)

For fans in the USA. We finally have a premiere date for Aaron’s 8-part miniseries UNSPEAKABLE that is currently airing in Canada.

Today at the Winter TCA (Television Critics Association), AMC announced that UNSPEAKABLE will premiere in a two-night event airing on April 4th and 5th (9/8c both nights) on SundanceTV in the US.

EDIT: It looks like it’s not airing at 9pm in the respective time zones. It will air at 9pm on the west coast, which means it will air at midnight on the east coast. That’s frakking ridiculous.

GARAGE SALE MYSTERIES #16 (Searched & Seized): Aaron Douglas to co-star

Do we have any fans of the GARAGE SALE MYSTERY movies starring Lori Loughlin? Aaron Douglas is currently filming movie #16 (Garage Sale Mysteries: Searched & Seized) playing Owen O’Neill. It will air in August 2019 on ‘Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ in the US. I’ll send out a reminder when it gets closer to the airing date. TBH, I’d never heard of these movies before but I’ll be watching the 16th one.

Synopsis: The series follows the story of antiques dealer Jennifer (Lori Loughlin) who has a knack for finding crimes. Her eye for details leads her to help solving these crimes even if it puts her own life in danger.

UNSPEAKABLE: Aaron’s second episode airs tonight (Feb 6, 2019) (Reminder)

Even though that look on Aaron’s face makes me think I’m going to need a box of kleenex, I’m excited to see this scene in tonight’s episode of UNSPEAKABLE (airing Wed Feb 6th at 9pm on CBC). When I visited Aaron in September last year he took me out to the location where this scene was filmed. He got lost while trying to find it which made us laugh because the day before he managed to find a particular tree in a forest from a BSG episode that he filmed over 12 years ago but couldn’t find the pond he filmed at 4 months ago. LOL.

UNSPEAKABLE: Aaron’s second episode airs tonight (Feb 6, 2019)

Tonight’s episode of UNSPEAKABLE was directed by Sarah Wayne Callies. Aaron asked Sarah for a selfie during the filming of that episode and we were saving it as a surprise to post on the day the episode aired. But Sarah (obviously not knowing that was our plan. Cylons have plans?!?) posted a photo to instagram of Aaron taking that selfie back in May 2018 (when the episode was filmed). The photo on the right is Aaron’s photo. SURPRISE!!!! ?

Tune in tonight (Wednesday Feb 6) at 9pm on CBC in Canada for episode 5 of UNSPEAKABLE. SPOILER ALERT: Jim wears some pretty awful 80’s shirts in tonight’s episode. UNSPEAKABLE: Aaron’s first episode airs tonight (Jan 30, 2019)

TONIGHT’S THE NIGHT!!!! Aaron’s story arc on UNSPEAKABLE begins with tonight’s episode (1×04: Unsafe), airing Wednesday (January 30, 2019) at 9pm on CBC in Canada.

I’m both excited and apprehensive because these first 3 episodes of UNSPEAKABLE have been so emotional and I’m scared that Jim Krepke (Aaron’s character) may have me reaching for the entire box of Kleenex. He hasn’t made me cry since the BSG episode with Chief and Boomer’s Picon dream house (4×17: Someone to Watch Over Me). You better not make me cry, mister!

REMINDER: Aaron’s new tv series UNSPEAKABLE premieres TONIGHT (Wednesday, January 9) at 9pm on CBC in Canada.

UNSPEAKABLE is an 8-part miniseries based on the true events of the Canadian tainted blood scandal, chronicling the decades long saga of two families impacted by one of the biggest medical disasters in Canada’s history.

Aaron’s character Jim Krepke doesn’t show up until episode 4 but here’s a little teaser to get you excited to watch. Look who has scenes together ….OH MY FRAKKING GODS!!!! It’s Chief Tyrol and Daniel Jackson. This makes my fangirl heart so very happy. #BSG #StargateSG1.

THE FLASH: 100th Episode Party

Tonight there is a red carpet and party for the 100th episode of THE FLASH. Aaron will be there (he played THE TURTLE in episode 2×10, which was the 33rd episode). Fingers crossed that we get some photos of him at the event. #TheFlash100. I will update this post with any photos/videos that I find.

SECRET PROJECT

Aaron is currently filming an episode of something that has to remain a secret for now (he had to sign an NDA). But one of his co-stars in it is Allison Tolman who played Molly Solverson in S1 of FARGO and she tweeted this photo. I *LOVE* that she’s a BSG fan.

WHEN CALLS THE HEART: Aaron Douglas to guest star

When I was on vacation in Vancouver in September, Aaron filmed a guest starring role in episode of a tv series and I was lucky enough to tag along. I wasn’t allowed to watch him film (I had to stay in the trailer) but while everyone was on a lunch break Aaron took me for a walk around set. Can anyone guess what the show is from the photos? And you can’t cheat because I haven’t added it to his IMDB page yet ?

EDIT: Julie guessed correctly. Aaron is going to be on an episode of WHEN CALLS THE HEART. He will be in episode 6×11. I will post a reminder once it gets closer to the airdate. According to Wikipedia the shows airs on the Hallmark Channel in the United States and on Super Channel and CBC in Canada. And internationally on Netflix.
