Videos: Fan Expo Vancouver 2012

Here are a couple of videos of Aaron from Fan Expo Vancouver 2012.

Unfortunately if you are outside of CANADA you can’t watch them :( I purchased one of those one month subscriptions to hide your IP address. So I could watch it but when I tried to download it I got a copyright notification and it wouldn’t let me download it. But leave it with me, I’ll work out some way to do it, even if I have to take a video with my cell phone of the screen :)

As Seen on InnerSPACE: Death Do Us Part

Spring is upon us and so is wedding season! But if you’re not quite ready to commit to marriage, we suggest at least committing to seeing the new horror film “Death Do Us Part”! We met up with some of the cast and crew at Vancouver Fan Expo where they gushed about the genre names attached to the project – and gave us a warning about the dangers of throwing a joint stag party!

Aaron is on screen at 0:05 – 0:11 (snippet of a scene from the movie) and at 0:41 – 0:45 (same scene).

DEATH DO US PART: Fan Expo Vancouver 2012

Below is a photo of Aaron at Fan Expo Vancouver 2012 on Saturday to promote the movie DEATH DO US PART. Ignoring the ghastly red linen jacket, I think he looks really great.

There are some more photos of Aaron from the con on the facebook fanpage HERE.

CONVENTION SCHEDULE: Fan Expo Vancouver 2012

Just a reminder that Aaron is scheduled to appear at the following convention in CANADA this weekend to help promote the movie he has a cameo in, DEATH DO US PART.

Fan Expo Vancouver 2012
April 21st – 22nd, 2012
Vancouver Convention Centre
1055 Canada Place. Vancouver, BC. Canada

Below is the UPDATE on Aaron’s appearance at the con. Some things that are in the schedule are incorrect.

GUEST PANEL
Aaron will be part of the DEATH DO US PART panel on Saturday at 12 noon in room 109 (located on the ground level).

PHOTO OPS
The schedule has Aaron listed as doing Photo Ops with Michael Hogan at 2:30pm on Saturday and at 12noon on Sunday. Michael Hogan has CANCELLED his appearance at the con. We are assuming that Aaron will be doing a solo photo session at these same times. But double check this when you get to the con. (UPDATE: Just had it confirmed that Aaron will be doing photos at those same times).

AUTOGRAPHS
Aaron will be signing at booth #235 along with the cast and crew from DEATH DO US PART. The schedule has him listed as being in the ELECTRIC PLAYGROUND booth (#336), this is incorrect.

The below is a screen cap from the Fan Expo website. It reads that signing is at 1pm. But they will be in the booth from 10am.

THE FIRM: 1×12: Chapter 12 – Watch Online

For those of you that missed Aaron’s episode of THE FIRM (1×12: Chapter Twelve), it is now available to watch online. If you live outside of the USA/Canada, use Hotspot Shield (hotspotshield.com) and then watch it using the USA/NBC link. Don’t worry, it’s safe. I live in OZ and use Hotspot Shield all the time to watch videos that are region locked to people outside the USA :)

P.S. I know that there are websites out there that will let you watch tv shows online. Please don’t post links to them. Only official links on here please.

THE FIRM: 1×12: Chapter 12 – Preview

Below is a 2 minute preview from Aaron’s episode of THE FIRM (1×12: Chapter 12) that is airing this Saturday, March 31st on NBC (USA) and Global (Canada).

THE FIRM: 1×12: Chapter 12 – Trailer

Here is the trailer for Aaron’s episode of THE FIRM (1×12: Chapter 12) which will be airing on Saturday March 31st on NBC (USA) and Global (Canada).

You can see Aaron starting at the 00:17 time stamp until the end of the clip.

And this is the episode synopsis. The part I’ve highlighted below is about Aaron’s character (Gerald Sykes).

THE FIRM
Air Date: Saturday, March 31, 2012
Time Slot: 9:00 PM-10:00 PM EST on NBC
Episode Title: (#112) “CHAPTER TWELVE”

LOYALTY — Mitch (Josh Lucas) finally convinces Sarah Holt (Alex Paxton-Beesley) to tell him the truth about her case, despite the potential danger this exposes her to. Meanwhile, Mitch makes a mistake in his defense of a man accused of murder, and the error could land his client in jail for life. Abby (Molly Parker) makes an important discovery with the help of Martin Moxon’s wife Danielle (guest star Tara Rosling), while Tammy (Juliette Lewis) enlists the help of a hacker to scrounge for any clues on Sarah Holt’s laptop. Callum Keith Rennie and Natasha Calis also star. Tricia Helfer and Shaun Majumder guest star.

THE FIRM: Aaron’s episode airing in Canada & USA on March 31st

As previously reported, THE FIRM did not air in either Canada or the USA last week. According to the tv schedules for both countries, Chapter 11 is airing this Saturday (March 24). And the schedule for Global TV (Canada) and the episode list at the NBC/Universal website shows Chapter 12 (Aaron’s episode) as airing the following Saturday March 31. 10pm in Canada and 9pm in the USA.

Is there anyone in the USA and Canada that can tape the end of Chapter 11 to catch the trailer for Chapter 12? I’m curious to see if Aaron makes it into the trailer.

This is the Global TV (Canada) Schedule showing Chapter 11 airing this week and Chapter 12 airing next week.

The NBC (USA) Schedule showing Chapter 11 airing this week

The NBC Universal episode list is showing Chapter 12 as airing on March 31.

THE FIRM: when the frak is Aaron’s episode airing

Ok. So THE FIRM didn’t air in Canada tonight either. Chapter 11 should air next week (March 24) and then Aaron’s episode Chapter 12 will hopefully air the following week (March 31) in both Canada and USA.

UPDATE: Just heard from Aaron that he was told by a friend in Vancouver that Global are airing two episodes (Chapter 11 and 12) next week. So maybe it’s Aaron’s episode next week in Canada and then not for another week in the USA. Or maybe NBC will air two episodes as well next week. Arrrghhh, this is so confusing. lol.

CONVENTION APPEARANCE: Fan Expo Vancouver 2012

Aaron is scheduled to appear at the following convention in CANADA.

THE FIRM: Airing in Canada one week earlier than in the USA

It looks like Aaron’s episode of THE FIRM (Chapter 12) is going to air in Canada one week earlier than in the USA.

Global TV (Canada): Saturday March 24th @ 10pm
NBC (USA): Saturday March 31st @ 9pm

Chapter 11 of THE FIRM was supposed to air this Saturday on NBC, but it has been pushed back a week because they are airing a repeat of FASHION STAR instead. Chapter 11 is now airing next week (March 24th) according to the NBC website (see screen cap below) which means Chapter 12 (Aaron’s episode) gets pushed back to March 31st.

The schedule on the Global TV (Canada) website has Chapter 11 airing this Saturday and Aaron’s episode (Chapter 12) airing next week (March 24th).

UPDATE (March 17th): Chapter 11 of THE FIRM didn’t air in Canada either. Chapter 11 should air next week (March 24) and then Aaron’s episode Chapter 12 will hopefully air the following week (March 31) in both Canada and USA.

THE FIRM: Chapter 12 – Episode Synopsis

The synopsis for Chapter Twelve, Aaron’s episode of THE FIRM has been released by NBC.

The part I’ve highlighted below is about Aaron’s character. They didn’t even put his character’s name (Gerald Sykes) or ‘guest star Aaron Douglas’. Where’s the love? :(

THE FIRM
Air Date: Saturday, March 24, 2012
Time Slot: 9:00 PM-10:00 PM EST on NBC

THE FIRM: Aaron’s episode will air March 24th (???)

An update on when Aaron’s episode of THE FIRM will air …..

As previously reported, THE FIRM moved from Thursday night to the Saturday night death slot in the USA. In Canada it was still airing on Thursday night.

Aaron is in episode 12.

Episode 9 aired in Canada (Global TV) on Thursday night.
Episode 8 will be airing in the USA (NBC) on Saturday night.

In Canada, THE FIRM is getting replaced by the new tv show AWAKE on Thursday nights and THE FIRM is getting moved to the Saturday night death slot. THE FIRM is not airing again in Canada until Saturday March 10th. Which means that Aaron’s episode (if they continue to air one episode a week) will air in Canada on March 24th. Which now makes it the same date as NBC is airing it.

Everyone cross your fingers that the show doesn’t get axed before then :)

P.S. We thought Aaron’s episode of THE FIRM would be the first time that three cylons appeared in an episode of a show since BSG but Kate Vernon (Ellen Tigh) beat Aaron to it. She was in Episode 8 of THE FIRM.

THE FIRM: Now airing on Saturday nights

NBC is moving THE FIRM from Thursday night to Saturday night.

NBC Sends ‘Firm’ To Saturdays

After The Firm dropped to a new series low of a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49 last night – that’s got to be a historic low for NBC – the network is pulling the drama series from the Thursday 10 PM slot effective immediately. The acquired legal drama, a sequel to the John Grisham novel and 1993 movie, will continue its 22-episode run in the Saturday 9 PM slot starting next week.

Source: Deadline

I told Aaron that I think he may be cursed :) He did an episode of FLASHPOINT and CBS stopped airing the show (they gave the airing rights to ION). He did an episode of EUREKA and SyFy cancels the show. He did an episode of THE FIRM and NBC moves it to the Saturday night death slot.

Episode 6 of THE FIRM has just aired. Aaron is in episode 12. If they keep airing an episode each week, his episode will air on Saturday March 24th. Fingers crossed that the show can get to episode 12 before it gets cancelled.

THE FIRM: Aaron to guest-star on THE FIRM

I’m sure Aaron will tweet about this later but we get the EXCLUSIVE!!!!

Aaron will be flying to Toronto this week to guest-star in an episode of the NBC tv show THE FIRM. Aaron will be playing Gerald Simms.

For those that haven’t seen the show, it also stars Callum Keith Rennie and Tricia Helfer. Here’s hoping that Aaron gets a scene(s) with them. 3 cylons reunited :)

UPDATE: The name of Aaron’s character is now Gerald Sykes.

UPDATE: Tweet from Aaron …

DEATH DO US PART: Aaron filming tomorrow

As mention previously (HERE), Aaron has a cameo in the feature film DEATH DO US PART playing the character Harry.

Aaron is filming his scenes tomorrow (Saturday Dec 17, 2011) in Vancouver, fingers crossed that we get some photos.

UPDATE: The director tweeted the below message…

Hmmm, maybe Aaron will be playing a ranger. Here’s hoping because then the ranger hat will cover up that awful fluffy hair Aaron’s got going on right now :)

DEATH DO US PART: Aaron has cameo in movie

Aaron has a cameo in the feature film DEATH DO US PART as the character Harry. Aaron doesn’t actually know anymore than that as he is appearing in the film as favour to his friends Peter and Julie Benson who are the Writers and Executive Producers of the film. Hopefully once he’s filmed his scenes he can give us some more info, unless of course it contains spoilers.

Movie Synopsis: Kennedy Jamieson, a wealthy socialite, has waited her whole life to have the perfect wedding. Engaged to the charming Ryan Harris, the young couple is just a week away from the big day but hasn’t had a chance to celebrate their respective bachelor/bachelorette parties. Ryan’s best man Chet books a remote cabin in the woods to throw them a ‘Jack and Jill’ stag that they’ll never forget. Out in the middle of nowhere, things take a horrifying turn as members of the group are brutally picked off one by one. What started out as a celebration quickly descends into a bloody nightmare. Friendships are ripped apart and accusations fly in this blood filled psychological horror with a whodunit twist.

Cast: Julia Benson (Kennedy), Peter Benson (Ryan), Christine Chatelain (Hannah), Emilie Ullerup (Emily), Kyle Cassie (Chet), Ben Ayres (Derrick), Dave Collette (Bo), Aaron Douglas (Harry).

FLASHPOINT (4×14: Day Game): Airing TONIGHT in the USA

Aaron’s episode of FLASHPOINT is airing in the USA tonight (Tues, November 29, 2011) at 10/9C on ION. I live in Australia (so I am no expert on this) but I read on a Flashpoint facebook fanpage that some people have the ION channel but it’s not listed as ION. I hope this ‘List of Ion Television affiliates’ helps. Or maybe just go through the schedule for Tues night and see if you find Flashpoint airing at 10/9C.

Below is the ION trailer for the episode.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS (ION):
A former recruit, twice passed over by Parker, enables a burglary at a hockey stadium where he runs security. That Parker doesn’t recognize him at first antagonizes the villain, whose wife and child have left him. On scaffolding high above the ice, he holds Parker hostage in order to win his attention and affirmation. Early in the story, Raf is humiliated and angered by Parker in drills. Later, the teams newest member realizes that the slightest miscue can put a teammate in jeopardy, as he witness how close Parker comes to death today.

FLASHPOINT (4×14: Day Game): Airing TONIGHT in Canada

Just a reminder that Aaron’s episode of FLASHPOINT (“Day Game”) is airing TONIGHT (November 15, 2011) in Canada on CTV at 8/7C.

For those of you in the USA, the episode will be airing on ION on Tuesday, November 29 at 10/9C.

FLASHPOINT (4×14: Day Game): Trailer

Below is the trailer for Aaron’s episode of FLASHPOINT (“Day Game”) which is airing on CTV (Canada) tomorrow night, Tuesday, November 15 at 8/7C. The episode will be airing on ION (USA) on Tuesday, November 29 at 10/9C.

“STAY FROSTY” :)

EPISODE SYNOPSIS (CTV):
A knife-wielding robber has taken a hostage at Fletcher Stadium. The situation turns bloody, when a security guard tries to help.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS (CTV):
Team One races to Fletcher Stadium, where a knife-wielding robber has taken a hostage. When a security guard tries to be a hero, the situation turns bloody.

FLASHPOINT (4×14: Day Game): Episode Synopsis

Below is the synopsis for Aaron’s episode of FLASHPOINT (4×14: Day Game) that is airing next week in Canada on CTV.

There are HUGE spoilers in the synopsis. After you have read it you will probably wish you hadn’t. So turn back now, don’t do it, don’t read it. Now I’ve made you want to read it, haven’t I?

EPISODE SYNOPSIS (CTV):
Logline: A bold heist at a stadium lures Team One into an ex-cop’s violent plan to defeat the man he blames for ruining his life – Sgt. Greg Parker.

Team One races to Fletcher Stadium, where a knife-wielding robber has taken a hostage. When security guard Gil Collins (Aaron Douglas) tries to be a hero, the situation turns bloody. As Gil runs from the team, Jules makes a startling discovery about his past. A desperate Gil takes Parker hostage – and Parker pays an enormous price as he tries to talk down Gil and save his own life.

And here are the promo photos but there is no Aaron in any of them, which makes no sense because he’s in 90% of the episode.

UPDATE: Found a photo of Aaron on the CTV website.

The link below is supposed to be the trailer for the episode but I can’t confirm this because it won’t play for me. Looks like it will only play if you live in Canada (I’m in Australia).

KILLER MOUNTAIN: Tweets during East Coast airing

Aaron, Paul Campbell and Torrance Coombs tweeted during the east coast airing of KILLER MOUNTAIN tonight.

I’ve made a screen cap of their tweets. You need to read from the bottom up.

KILLER MOUNTAIN: Exclusive Pics from Fangoria

FANGORIA have posted some exclusive photos from KILLER MOUNTAIN. Aaron is in two of the photos. In the accompanying article it reads…

“Fortunately, we had a great cast that always kept things fun, even in the worst of locations. Aaron Douglas and Paul Campbell, both from BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, were hell-bent on sneaking BATTLESTAR references into the movie. I’ll be curious to see how many of those the audience catches.”

We have already heard Aaron say FRAK in the trailer. Let’s see how many other BSG references we can spot while watching.

Director climbs a “KILLER MOUNTAIN” for Syfy; exclusive pics
By: Michael Gingold
Date: August 26, 2011

After first winning attention on the genre scene for his 2005 chiller SHALLOW GROUND, director Sheldon Wilson has been busy bringing terror to the Syfy channel with the likes of CARNY, MOTHMAN and RED: WEREWOLF HUNTER. For his latest movie for the network, premiering this Saturday at 9/8 Central, he went up a KILLER MOUNTAIN and lived to tell Fango the tale, and send a few exclusive photos.

“KILLER MOUNTAIN very nearly was…almost,” he tells us. “We shot the majority of the movie just outside the small town of Hope, British Columbia, doing the mountain-climbing sequences at a spot known as the Hope Slide. In 1965, the entire side of the mountain there slid off, completely burying a mile-long stretch of the highway, trapping and killing four people in their cars who were never recovered. The place is creepy as hell. A few weeks after we finished shooting, another massive piece of the mountain slid off. Luckily, there were no new additions to the four unlucky souls already buried there.”

The terror in KILLER MOUNTAIN is more fantastical: slithery monsters that lurk within Gangkhar Puensum, the world’s highest unclimbed mountain, in Bhutan. A team led by an experienced climber, Ward (Aaron Douglas), and hired by a billionaire (Andrew Airlee) attempts an ascent in search of a missing research expedition that was headed by Ward’s ex-girlfriend (genre stalwart Emmanuelle Vaugier), and has a series of deadly encounters with the creature. The location may have been foreboding, but Wilson says, “Fortunately, we had a great cast that always kept things fun, even in the worst of locations. Aaron Douglas and Paul Campbell, both from BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, were hell-bent on sneaking BATTLESTAR references into the movie. I’ll be curious to see how many of those the audience catches.”

Evidently, those actors had a better time than a star who shot a movie in the area three decades ago. “Hope, as it turns out, is the same small town Sylvester Stallone shot to hell in FIRST BLOOD,” Wilson reveals. “One of the locals told me that Stallone had to stop going out to the bars there at night, because there were always two or three local guys who wanted to be able to say they were the ones who kicked Rocky’s ass. Fortunately for us, we had a much better experience with the nightlife in Hope—as little of it as there was.”

In the last photo that’s Aaron (in the grey hoodie) sitting on the rock. Look down from where the rock climbers are.

CONVENTION SCHEDULE: DragonCon 2011 (BSG Guest Panels)

Below is a list of the BSG panels at DragonCon. Aaron is listed as appearing at the Friday and Saturday panels

These details are from the Dragon*Con American SF Media Track website. Please make sure you check the official DragonCon program guide once that has been released to see if there are any updates/changes.

Aaron also told me he was asked to judge some sort of competition on one of the nights at DragonCon. But for the life of me I can’t remember what it was. I *think* it was a costume contest (????).

KILLER MOUNTAIN: New Trailer

Below is the new trailer for KILLER MOUNTAIN (airing Saturday August 27th @ 9/8c on SyFy).

LOL at “Let’s get the frak out of here”. So who wins for best BSG reference from a BSG actor?
Click on the links below for video clips.

Paul Campbell – Almost Heroes
James Callis – Eureka

I want to give it to Paul Campbell because I remember laughing so much when I watched this. But I guess that technically Aaron wins because he said Frak.

FLASHPOINT: CBS no longer airing Flashpoint

As some of you may remember, Aaron filmed a guest starring role on the tv show FLASHPOINT. Flashpoint airs on CTV (Canada) and CBS (USA).

But … CBS have given up the broadcast rights to ION. CBS will be airing their last episode of Flashpoint on August 19th. That will make 7 of the 18 episodes of season 4 aired (Aaron’s episode is number 14 of season 4). ION will air (at a date to be determined) the remaining 11 episodes of season 4. The Flashpoint commercial running on the ION website says “coming this fall” but it doesn’t say if it will be new or old episodes in the fall, or both.

If ION start airing the episodes from the beginning of season 1 (they’ve been given broadcasting rights to the whole show) then gods only knows when we’ll get Aaron’s episode. Fingers crossed the CTV are still airing new episodes *cough* torrents *cough*.

I live in Australia so I have no idea what ION is. Is this a channel that everyone in the USA can get?

KILLER MOUNTAIN: Two Sneak Peek Videos & Website

Syfy have posted two sneak peek videos for KILLER MOUNTAIN (airing Saturday August 27th @ 9/8C). First video has a couple of blink-and-miss-it shots of Aaron and lots of really bad fake monster (lol). Soooo can’t wait for this. I love me some cheesy SciFi :)

Second video has lots more Aaron in it. Yay :)

And here is the link to the KILLER MOUNTAIN page on the SyFy website.

GHOST STORM: tweet from SyfyMovies

GHOST STORM: Aaron lands role in SyFy Movie

Aaron has landed a role on a Syfy MOW called GHOST STORM.

Yay!!! Aaron’s in another cheesy B Grade SciFi movie. And that wasn’t sarcasm. I love them :)

He only has 3 days on the film, so he’s obviously not the lead. I’ve downloaded the casting sides and once I found out from him which character he’s playing, I’ll see if I have the sides for it and I’ll post them.

KILLER MOUNTAIN: ADR

We have a tentative air date of August 11th for the SyFy movie KILLER MOUNTAIN, in which Aaron stars as the lead character Ward Donovan.

ADR = Automated Dialogue Replacement, the post-production process of recording and replacing voices on a motion picture or television soundtrack subsequent to the original shooting

Chris Douglas – Human: An Operators Manual

"Imagine in this instant, your past was wiped away and any insecurity you’ve ever had was gone. What if that little voice in your head that undermines you and keeps you from thriving was torn away from you and you were left with nothing but strength and hope? How would your life change? How would your life change if by simply understanding the purpose to your fears and insecurities allowed you to be liberated from them? What if they provided you with a specific biological survival function and by making a few simple changes would allow you to silence that voice in your head and with it all your fears and insecurities?"

Human: An Operator’s Manual is a proactive and solution focused book that simplifies the psychology, science, and theory behind our survival mechanisms and demonstrates how we can change the way we interact with the world and operate ourselves. This book is a must read not only for those struggling with personal challenges but also for those desiring to optimize their functioning.

Aaron’s Geek A Week Trading Card & Interview

Hail To The Chief. Aaron Douglas is Geek 47.

I often wonder as I write these Thursday announcements for Geek A Week, how many of you actually look forward to it. I mean, there is some excitement about knowing who comes up next. (I’m not deluding myself, am I?) But does anyone actually wait for me to post these announcements? I am thinking this, of course, as the project is rolling to a close. Just one more month of geeks and my year-long quest will have come to a close. I’ll save all the introspection and such for the end of the project. Right now, I have a geek to announce!

Next week is tailor-made for every Sci-Fi geek out there who has had a pulse for the past five years. As you know, the re-boot of Battlestar Galactica (or BSG for you hipster geeks out there) was a huge success and laid the groundwork for a new generation of serialized geeky TV shows. Next week, I am extremely proud and excited to bring one of the key figures from BSG to the Geek A Week deck – none other than The Chief himself, Aaron Douglas!

Aaron’s card and podcast will go live at some point during the weekend. And I gotta be honest with you: his card is so amazingly awesome, I can’t even stand it. Keep an eye out for the Chief as he graces us with his presence.

The card will be posted on Flickr HERE. And the podcast will be posted HERE.
I’ll update this entry and post a link to the podcast and the pic of Aaron’s card once they have been uploaded online.

KILLER MOUNTAIN: Trailer and Synopsis

I found the synopsis and trailer for KILLER MOUNTAIN. This is the SyFy Movie that Aaron filmed in June. Sorry, I have no idea when it will air. But as soon as I hear anything, I’ll let everyone know.

Synopsis: Located in Bhutan, Gangkhar Puensum (“Killer Mountain”) is the highest unclimbed mountain in the world. According to local legend, 6000 meters is the abode of the Gods, and trespassing is strictly prohibited as a matter of religious law. But when a research expedition is lost, billionaire WALTER BURTON (Andrew Airlee) hires WARD DONOVAN (Aaron Douglas), the best climber in the business to lead a rescue mission. Ward initially resists until he learns that Burton had hired his ex-girlfriend KATE (Emmanuelle Vaugier) to lead the missing group. Soon Ward and his team find themselves on a flight to Bhutan. Upon arriving at base camp, they hear Kate and her team’s frantic final message for help. It sounds like there was something else up there, something attacking them, but what could it be? With Burton’s son CREIGHTON along for the climb (Burton stays at camp), Ward and his team begin their ascent. But they quickly realize why Gangkhar Puensum has never been successfully climbed. Some of them won’t be coming back alive. Unbeknownst to them, something slithers through the shadows and under the ice, following them, waiting to strike…

Synopsis: In a dramatic tale of extreme survival and mysterious legend, Ward Donovan, and his team of expert climbers are hired by billionaire Walter Burton to rescue a research team lost on the world’s highest unclimbed mountain. But amidst deep crevasses and steep rock faces, Ward discovers an abandoned temple complex… Is this Shangri-La, the mythical land of eternal life – the secrets of which Burton would attain at any cost – or is this something far more sinister?

Starring: Aaron Douglas, Emmanuelle Vaugier, Paul Campbell, Torrance Coombs, Andrew Airlee
Director: Sheldon Wilson
Producer: Jeff Schenck

UPDATE: Here are some more synopses for KILLER MOUNTAIN.

In Bhutan, creepy, slithery and deadly monsters lurk deep within Gangkhar Puensum, the world’s highest unclimbed mountain. When a team of experienced climbers led by Ward Donovan (Aaron Douglas, Battlestar Galactica) attempt to climb the mountain in search of a missing research expedition, the team discovers the legendary Shangri-La – making the most significant archaeological discovery in years. But their amazement is short lived when they come face-to-face with the deadly creature protecting it. Will they get out alive and spread word of their mystifying discovery or succumb to the forbidden mountain for eternity?

In “Killer Mountain” – inspired by an ancient Himalayan legend – a team of climbers (“Battlestar Galactica” alums Aaron Douglas and Paul Campbell) is sent to a forbidden mountain to rescue a missing expedition. There, they discover that the mountain is the secret location of Shangri La — protected by a bloodthirsty alien creature, the Druk. Killer Mountain is a production of ARO Entertainment.

HELLCATS: picked up for a full season

Yay. More Aaron on our television screens. HELLCATS has been picked up for a full season.

Breaking: The CW orders full seasons of ‘One Tree Hill,’ ‘Nikita,’ and ‘Hellcats’
By: Michael Ausiello
Date: October 22nd, 2010

The pickup baton has been passed to The CW: The network has given full-season orders to rookie dramas Nikita and Hellcats, as well as venerable soap One Tree Hill.

Season to date, Hellcats has averaged 2.5 million viewers, a dramatic improvement over last season’s insta-flop A Beautiful Life. Nikita, meanwhile, stands as The CW’s second most-watched show with 3.6 million viewers – although a large chunk of that audience falls outside the net’s core 18-34 demo (hence the mini-revamp under way).

Conspicuously missing from The CW’s pickup list: Life Unexpected. The sophomore drama did, however, receive an additional script order. In other words, there’s still hope.

CW pick ups: ‘Hellcats,’ ‘Nikita,’ ‘One Tree’
By: James Hibberd
Date: October 22nd, 2010

The CW is giving full-season orders to freshman dramas Hellcats and Nikita, along with veteran One Tree Hill.

Hellcats has been paired with America’s Next Top Model on Wednesday nights, averaging 2.5 million viewers. Nikita has been matched with Vampire Diaries on Thursdays pulling 3.6 million viewers. Both have been more or less steady in recent weeks.

Absent from the list: Life Unexpected, which has been struggling paired with the eighth season of One Tree Hill on Tuesday nights. CW has picked up a couple scripts for the show, however.

“This fall, The CW made several strategic scheduling moves, including adding two of the most buzzed-about new series, ‘Hellcats’ and ‘Nikita,’ to our line-up, and we’re thrilled that they’ve paid off for us,” said CW entertainment president Dawn Ostroff. “By giving our two freshman series and proven performer ‘One Tree Hill’ full orders, we’ll be able to continue our success and momentum throughout the rest of the season.”

UPDATE: Letter from Aaron posted on the Geek Media Expo website ….

We at GMX thank Aaron for his sincerity and generosity in sending the fans this heart-felt message. We wish him luck in his new show and hope so see him again soon.

A LETTER FROM MR. DOUGLAS…

“I am so profoundly sorry that I cannot attend the GMX con this weekend in Nashville. The promoters of the event have been so patient and supportive and I feel awful that I cannot make it for them and for all of you.

I am also sorry that it is so last minute. As many of you know I am on a new show called ‘Hellcats’ and unfortunately the schedule just came out and I work Friday and Monday. There is no way I can make it to Nashville and back to Vancouver and not have more that a couple of hours to spend with ya’ll.

I LOVE Nashville, I have many friends who live there and they are just as disappointed as I am that I cannot get away.

I do plan on heading there and seeing my friends when I have a break and I promise you that I will set up at a pub somewhere, bring a bunch of sharpies, announce it at least a day before and sit and have a pint with whoever shows up and sign all of your stuff.

Again, I am so sorry.

I love you all.

See you soon.”

HELLCATS: 1×02: I Say a Little Prayer (airing tonight)

Just a reminder that HELLCATS airs tonight (Wed Sept 15th, 2010) in the USA and CANADA (9/8C). I have no idea if Aaron is in the episode or not. His scene in the casting sides for episode 1×02 was the scene that was in the pilot episode. He’s not in episodes 3 and 4. But I’m not sure if maybe the numbering is now messed up and eps 3 and 4 is really eps 2 and 3. Can someone please play ‘spot Aaron’ and leave a comment and let us know if he’s in the episode or not?

THE BRIDGE: Frank and Jill Play House in S2 (???)

We still have no idea what’s going on with season two of THE BRIDGE. The actors haven’t even been given a date on when S2 is scheduled to start filming in Toronto.

I hope the writers haven’t already planned out the story arc for the season because they might need to make some changes :) The below photo was taken at the ‘Fashion Television’ 25th Anniversary on September 7th in Toronto. The accompanying article describes Inga Cadranel as ‘newly pregnant’.

XXXXXX

Congratulations to Inga and her husband Gabriel Hogan (the son of Michael Hogan who played Col. Tigh on BSG).

For those that need a reminder … Inga plays Jill (a detective). Frank (Aaron’s character) is sleeping with both Jill and Abby (the lawyer). They should write Inga’s pregnancy into the show. Frank stops being a womaniser (yeah, like that will happen) and settles down with Jill. Abby gets so upset that she leaves and never comes back :)

ONE ANGRY JUROR: Promo Photos

TV.com have posted six promo photos from the LIFETIME MOW ONE ANGRY JUROR.
http://www.tv.com/one-angry-juror/show/80091/photos.html

The photos are of actress Jessica Capshaw but this image shows the back of Aaron’s head.
That’s him, far left, sitting in the chair :)

If they are releasing photos, hopefully we are getting close to having a date on when it will air. Fingers crossed.

MULTIMEDIA – HELLCATS (Episodes): HELLCATS – 1×01: A World Full Of Strangers (September 8, 2010)

HELLCATS: Series Premier tonight (Wednesday September 8th, 2010)

Just a reminder that the series premier of HELLCATS airs tonight (Wed, Sept 8th, 2010) at 9/8c on the CW in the USA.

In Canada it premieres tonight (Sept 8th) at 9pm ET on /A\ and on Friday (Sept 10th) at 8pm ET on MuchMusic. It also airs at 10pm AT on /A\ Atlantic and 8pm MT on ACCESS. In Australia, Hellcats premieres on Monday, Sept 13th at 7.30pm on the GO! channel. Sorry, I don’t know when it is premiering in other countries. If you know, leave a comment and I’ll edit this post and add it in.

Aaron plays William ‘Bill’ Marsh. Bill is the head of the Lancer University’s athletic department.

I know that Aaron is in the 2nd episode of Hellcats but I don’t know if he is in the pilot episode (it was filmed before he joined the cast). An article on ‘examiner.com’ says he is not in the pilot episode … “Also, while not introduced in the first episode, the series will feature Gale Harold, Aaron Douglas, and D.B. Woodside”. But an article on ‘Cinema Blend’ says he is in it … “Random side-note: Fans of Battlestar Galactica who might somehow also take an interest in this show (I did, so there have to be a few others out there), will recognize Aaron Douglas (Chief Tyrol in BSG) as Bill. And for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and/or 24 fans, D.B. Woodside (Principal Wood/Wayne Palmer) is also among Hellcats’ cast. Spoiler alert: Neither of them cheer (at least not in the first episode).” I suspect that maybe Aaron filmed a scene(s) when he was filming the 2nd episode and that was slotted into the already filmed pilot episode (????).

You guys in the USA and Canada will get to watch the episode before I do (I’m in Australia). Can someone please leave a comment and let me know if Aaron is in the pilot episode or not? Or I could just ask him about it. But that takes the fun out of playing ‘spot Aaron’ :)

UPDATE: Aaron is in the episode. The A.V. Club did a review of the pilot episode and wrote … “Aaron Douglas shows up in a small part halfway through the episode”.

HELLCATS – Episode Synopsis – 1×01: A World Full of Strangers – Marti Perkins (Alyson Michalka), a law student at Lancer University, discovers that her scholarship has been cancelled and her well-meaning but irresponsible mother, Wanda (Gail O’Grady) has neglected to inform her. Broke and out of options, Marti realizes the only way she can stay in school is to win a place on the Hellcats – Lancer’s legendary cheer squad – and the scholarship that comes with it. Despite a confrontation with the Hellcats peppy team captain, Savannah (Ashley Tisdale), Marti wins over coach Vanessa Lodge (Sharon Leal), makes the squad and is thrust into a competitive world unlike anything she has ever known. With her best friend Dan (Matt Barr) by her side, Marti navigates her new world as a cheerleader and Savannah’s new roommate, while trying to avoid any interaction with squad member Alice Verdura (Heather Hemmens), who is instantly jealous when she realizes that Marti has caught the eye of Alice’s ex-boyfriend Lewis Flynn (Robbie Jones). Allan Arkush directed the episode written by Kevin Murphy.

THE BRIDGE: 25th Annual Gemini Awards

Yesterday morning the nominations for the 25th Annual Gemini Awards were announced.

Now I know that most of you never got to see THE BRIDGE because #&$*%@# CBS cancelled it after only airing 3 episodes, but Alex (played by Genadijs Dolganovs) was my favourite character on THE BRIDGE (don’t tell Aaron I said that *g*) and it always bugged me that he was left off the main cast list and in the promo photos and was never interviewed about the show. He was the best thing about the show. Congratulations Genadijs, this nomination is well deserved.

HELLCATS: Name change for Aaron’s character

It looks like Bill Curran (Aaron’s character on HELLCATS) has be renamed to William “Bill” Marsh.

On July 22nd we got the exclusive from Aaron that he would be playing Bill Curran on HELLCATS. Pedda found on wiki that “Bill Curran is the head of the Lancer University’s athletic department”. http://aarondouglasfans.com/?p=13079

The following day I posted the casting sides that I found online for “Bill”.
http://aarondouglasfans.com/?p=13096

A couple of weeks ago Aaron told me that his character on Hellcats was ‘William Marsh’. I didn’t post the news as I was waiting for him to respond to my “huh, I thought your character was Bill Curran, did they change his name?” question. In the ‘Chicagoist’ interview with Aaron he says that his character is “Bill Curran, head of athletics for a university”. When I saw that I thought to myself “oh, so it is Bill Curran, not Bill Marsh”. The interview was posted online on August 17th but I don’t know when it was actually conducted. http://aarondouglasfans.com/?p=2058

Today when I was looking at the Hellcats casting sides I found one dated August 10th for a character called “William ‘Bill’ Marsh”. Part of it reads “INT. OFFICE OF THE HEAD OF ATHLETICS” and then it goes into a scene with “Bill” in his office on the phone. Sounds like ‘Bill Curran’ and ‘Bill Marsh’ are the same character. You can read the casting sides (3 pages) below.

UPDATE (1): Just spoke with Aaron and he has confirmed that his character on Hellcats is called Bill Marsh.

UPDATE (2) Sept 22nd: In the episode 1×03: Beale St. After Dark Vanessa Lodge talks about Aaron’s character, calling him Bill Marsh. His name is said at time stamp 00:49 in the scene below.

Subject: Your Season Pass Purchase for The Bridge

Dear Michelle,

The Bridge has come to a close. There were fewer episodes in this season than we anticipated at the time of your purchase.

To make up for the difference, we have issued a partial refund to your account. These funds will be applied to your original payment method within 5 business days.

Sincerely,
iTunes Store Team

“There were fewer episodes in this season than we anticipated at the time of your purchase.”

That’s because CBS aired the show at 8pm on a Saturday in summer and didn’t advertise the show at all. So no one watched and it was cancelled due to poor ratings.

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: Online Game

The new BSG Online Game will “contain the likenesses of” Chief Tyrol (and some other BSG characters). Chief is listed under the “Human” heading. I guess this is either a mistake or the game is set before the end of Season 3 when the final four were revealed as cylons (?????).

Battlestar Galactica Online Gets Some Familiar Faces
Eight characters from the show to hold house in the SyFy MMO.

By: Nick Kolan
Date: August 12th, 2010

When it was announced that Bigpoint – a developer of web-based games – had acquired the Battlestar Galactica license and intended to create an MMO with it (to be called Battlestar Galactica Online), it was met with a mixed response from our commenters. The response was based purely on the fact that it was to be free-to-play and browser-based, and typically browser-based is associated with “cheap and/or ugly”. There was understandable speculation that it would be a standard game with few ties to the much-loved Battlestar Galactica universe.

Today, it was announced that many major characters from the popular SyFy show would have a presence within the game, rendered in fairly impressive 3D, considering it is running in your browser.

According to the announcement, the game will contain the likenesses of:

Human
William “Admiral” Adama portrayed by Edward James Olmos
Kara “Starbuck” Thrace portrayed by Katee Sackhoff
Lee “Apollo” Adama portrayed by Jamie Bamber
Galen “Chief” Tyrol portrayed by Aaron Douglas

Cylon
Number Six portrayed by Tricia Helfer
Number Eight portrayed by Grace Park
Number One (John Cavil) portrayed by Dean Stockwell
Number Two (Leoben Conoy) portrayed by Callum Keith Rennie

The screens look decent enough, as you can see, though we’ll wait to see it running in our own browsers.

THE BRIDGE: TV Guide Canada – Ask Amber

In the Canadian TV GUIDE in the ASK AMBER column, a fan asks if there will be a second season of THE BRIDGE.

Ask Amber: Aug. 2
By Amber Dowling

Have a burning TV question that you just can’t wait to have answered?
Ask Amber every Monday …

——————————————————————————-
Hey Amber, Now that CBS cancelled The Bridge, will we see a second season in Canada? – Jeff

Heck, yes we will – CTV confirms a second helping of the Canadian drama is indeed still on tap, despite CBS’s mistreatment of the series. Creator Craig Bromell says that the second instalment will focus more on character development now that he has a first season under his belt.

And for those who were disappointed the first season of the Toronto-shot series (which pretended not to be shot in Toronto), that could change for the second instalment. Bromell, who is the former head of the Toronto Police Association, couldn’t get insurance on The Bridge to be shot in Toronto so long as his name was attached to the project – he’s made his fair share of enemies over the years, and having his experiences thrown onto the small screen hasn’t sat well with everybody. But he’s working on getting that changed now that the show had a fairly successful first season, and hopes insurance will come through this time around.

THE BRIDGE: TCA (Television Critics Association) Summer Press Tour 2010

Today at the TCA Summer Press Tour, Nina Tassler (President of CBS Entertainment) talked about the cancellation of THE BRIDGE.

Below is a copy and paste of just the mentions of THE BRIDGE

8:50 a.m. In case you didn’t notice, CBS pulled “The Bridge” early. “The show wasn’t delivering the numbers we needed,” Tassler explains simply. That doesn’t mean, though, that the Canadian pipeline has dried up. She says “maybe” regarding the future of “Flashpoint.”

Source: HitFix.com

The cancellation of The Bridge: “The show wasn’t delivering the numbers we needed. Generally, our summer strategy works.”

Source: Televisionary

In the panel discussion that the cast and producers had after the set tour, what became most apparent about “Parenthood” is that NBC is behind the show. The producers and several of the actors stated that they really didn’t hit their stride until the 6th episode, and this was after a pilot that they thought was a little wobbly. Compare that to CBS and their treatment of “The Bridge” (and probably “Flashpoint”) in that they had no problem killing the series after 3 episodes, giving the show virtually no time to find its legs, because “it wasn’t giving us the numbers”, not that NBC hasn’t been guilty of similar behavior. Why was “Parenthood” spared? The Ron Howard connection? Whatever the mystery it’s nice to see what could be a superb show catching a break and being given time to find itself.

Source: TV Junkie

The Canadian conversation with Tassler got started when she was asked about CBS recently dropping another CTV series, The Bridge, after only three episodes. “The show was not delivering the numbers we needed,” said Tassler, who added, “I think we’ll continue to look at other ways to do Canadian shows.” But when asked specifically if the relationship between Flashpoint and CBS will continue beyond this summer, Tassler said, “Maybe – I haven’t decided yet.” Regardless of CBS, a fourth season of Flashpoint and a second season of The Bridge have been ordered by CTV.

Nina on pulling The Bridge from Saturday nights: The show wasn’t delivering the numbers we needed. Generally, our Summer strategies work. We’ll look at doing Canadian shows in future. I haven’t decided yet.

CONVENTION APPEARANCE: Wizard World Chicago Comic Con 2010 (Final Five Lithograph)

You may remember awhile back that I posted a link to a video of Aaron teasing about “something” Final Five related that they had planned for the Chicago Wizard Convention in Chicago in August.

Below is what the “something” is ……

A surprise for BSG fans in Chicago
Written by: Charles Briede
Date: Tuesday, 27 July 2010

You have seen Aaron Douglas tease it in the video above and then again on the FoF for a special appearance a few weeks ago. The time has come to let everyone know about the surprise that we have in store for you in Chicago. As you already know, Battlestar Galactica’s Final Five will be doing their first appearance at the same time to meet with their fans.

To mark this special occasion, we have worked to create something special and VERY limited. A numbered, 11×17 print of the Final Five pictured below. The print was done by artist Brian Denham and will ONLY be available at Wizard World Chicago at Aaron Douglas’s table. There will be 300 made and they will be numbered. This will be first come first serve in Chicago. The cost of the print is $75, autographs are not included. All five actors will be at the convention and will be available to autograph for an additional fee. When these are gone, they are gone so make plans now to get yours. The image is watermarked and the watermark text won’t be on the actual print.

THE BRIDGE: Craig Bromell says there will be a Season 2

Craig Bromell, one of the producers of THE BRIDGE (and the man that Frank Leo is loosely based on) says they are going ahead with season 2.

CBS pulls ‘The Bridge’ from summer lineup
Date: July 22nd, 2010

TORONTO — CBS has pulled the Canadian cop drama “The Bridge” from its summer schedule after airing just three episodes, but producers are hopeful that this isn’t the end of the road for the series in the U.S.

Co-producer Craig Bromell — whose insights as a former Toronto police union head inspired the storylines — says CBS told him earlier this week that it’s snipping the show from its Saturday-night lineup, effective immediately, for “reasons of fall scheduling.”

But he adds that the American network hasn’t completely given up on the show, which airs in CTV in Canada.

“They said: ‘We’re going to pull the show.’ They never said to us they’re going to cancel it,” Bromell said Thursday in a phone interview from Toronto, where the series is shot.

“What we do is we’re putting together Season 2 (for which) we have a commitment letter from CTV so we’re moving forward, and then we go back to CBS and say, ‘OK, are you guys still in?”‘

Written by five-time Gemini Award-winner Alan Di Fiore, “The Bridge” stars Aaron Douglas as outspoken cop-turned-union head Frank Leo and Paul Popowich as his partner and confidante, Tommy Dunn.

CTV picked up the project as a series in November 2008 and CBS jumped onboard in February 2009.

The Canadian network aired the series on Friday nights at 10 p.m. ET, from last March 5 to May 21, netting an average audience of one million viewers, according to BBM Canada.

CBS didn’t begin broadcasting the series until recently, on Saturday nights at 8 p.m. ET, and online reports say the ratings were low.

When asked if the CBS timeslot potentially hurt the show’s chances south of the border, Bromell said: “Let me put it to you this way: it’s a 10 o’clock show designed for Thursday and Friday.

“We go on at 8 o’clock with no promotion and our lead-in is infomercials at 7:30. But I do appreciate everything CBS did for me.”

Bromell also noted that CBS “paid upfront” for all 13 episodes of Season 1 so there are still “a number of options” for the series south of the border.

“Obviously we go back and say, ‘You guys have been good partners,’ and truthfully, CBS has been really good to work with, CTV has been very good to work with,” he said.

“My philosophy is we can pout and be pissed off or we move forward. We have Season 2, CBS was very good to us, it’s the nature of the business.

“We feel we have a very good show here, we feel there’s an audience for it. Our job is to find that audience, no matter who we’re with, and try to be as successful as we can.

From the rumours I’ve been hearing … HELLCATS will film in Vancouver until November. And then filming of Season 2 of THE BRIDGE will start after that in Toronto. Fingers crossed that these rumours are true.

THE BRIDGE: CBS Cancels The Bridge After Just Three Episodes

Looks like the rumours are true about The Bridge being cancelled. The article below says that CBS will be airing a repeat of Cold Case this Saturday.

CBS Cancels The Bridge After Just Three Episodes

Wow! It turns out that a scripted show can get too low a rating to survive in the summer: Vulture has learned that after airing just three episodes, CBS has decided to pull the plug on Canadian cop show The Bridge, effective immediately. The import was buried on Saturday night, and virtually nobody watched: Last week’s episode was seen by just 2.8 million viewers, with only 426,000 of those viewers under 50. In that young demo, that’s fewer than who watched repeats of the long-canceled CBS drama Moonlight on the CW last week. So even though CBS paid very little for The Bridge — less than $500,000 an episode, per industry estimates — the network decided that airing repeats of other CBS crime shows (starting with Cold Case this week) would make more sense.

Source: New York Magazine

UPDATE: I just checked the schedule on the CBS website and yep, there are repeats of COLD CASE starting this Saturday in what use to be the time slot for THE BRIDGE :'( http://www.cbs.com/info/schedule/index.php

UPDATE: There is a feedback form on the CBS website.
Go here http://www.cbs.com/info/user_services/fb_global_form.php and choose THE BRIDGE from the drop down box.

I’m not sure if that is the correct place to go to, to let CBS know that we think they’ve made a terrible mistake in cancelling THE BRIDGE, but it’s worth a shot.

There is also the CBS facebook fanpage for THE BRIDGE where you can leave comments.

THE BRIDGE: CBS Exclusive Preview for 1×04: The Unguarded Moment

Below is a screen cap from the front page of the CBS website for THE BRIDGE.

When you click on WATCH NOW it shows the video below.

This is what CBS are calling the “exclusive preview” for 1×04: The Unguarded Moment?!?!?!
Really CBS? That is not an exclusive preview. It’s not even a trailer for the episode. That is a trailer for the show/series. CBS FAIL …. again.

CONVENTION APPEARANCE: San Diego Comic-Con 2010 (Reminder)

In case the above doesn’t make sense (some fans on the facebook fanpage were confused), Aaron will be signing autographs at the OFFICIAL PIX booth as SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con). The booth is located in the Lucasfilm Pavilion in booth 2913P.

Autograph: $30.00.
Signing Thurday-Saturday.
Check booth for times.

THE BRIDGE: Cancelled by CBS (?!?!?)

I’ve just heard some really sad news.

The rumour is that CBS have cancelled THE BRIDGE :'(
Apparently they won’t even be airing this weeks episode (1×04: The Unguarded Moment).

You can comment on this news over on THE CHIEF’S DECK.

MULTIMEDIA – THE BRIDGE (Miscellaneous): The Bridge: Catch up on the new CBS series

Chief & Boomer’s Picon Dream House

I have only just started watching season 4 of EUREKA because James Callis has joined the show. This may be old news because I have not seen any episodes of season 1 to season 3 of EUREKA, but Allison Blake (the lady with the autistic son) lives in Chief & Boomer’s ‘Picon Dream House’.

The images on the left are from BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. The images on the right are from EUREKA.

The first 1:40 is from the BSG episode 4×17: Someone to Watch Over Me.
I cut out the parts where Tyrol goes upstairs to see their daughter.

The last 1:10 are from the EUREKA episodes 4×01: Founder’s Day and 4×02: A New World.

Directed By: John Fawcett
Production Number: 103
Air Date (Canada): Friday, March 12th, 2010 @ 9pm on CTV
Air Date (USA): Saturday, July 17th, 2010 @ 8pm on CBS

THE BRIDGE: 1×03: The Fat Lady Sings the Blues – Trailer?

Has anyone seen a CBS trailer for this Saturday’s episode of THE BRIDGE? I can’t find one online anywhere. Was a trailer shown during the end credits of last weeks episode?

In the absence of a CBS trailer, here is the link to the CTV trailer for this episode when it aired in Canada in March (so ignore the day/time at the end of the video). This episode airs on Saturday July 17th at 8pm on CBS (USA). The CTV and CBS synopsis for this episode as well as the CBS Promo Photos are also at the link below.

THE BRIDGE: The 7 episodes that CBS will be airing

As you are already aware, CBS will only be airing 7 of the 13 episodes from season one of THE BRIDGE.
Below is the list of all 13 episodes in season one. The episode names highlighted in pink are the 7 episodes that CBS will be airing.

CBS FAIL!!!! :(

ARTICLES – THE BRIDGE: CBS vs CTV Comparison: 1×01: Red Door / 1×02: Paint It Black

THE BRIDGE: iTunes (USA store)

The pilot episode of THE BRIDGE (1×01: Red Door / 1×02: Paint It Black) is now available to purchase in the iTunes USA store.
Each episode is $2.99 each (for HD) and $1.99 (for Standard Definition). Or you can buy a season pass for $14.99 (HD) / $10.99 (SD).

http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewTVSeason?id=379477981&s=143441

An episode is $2.99 each. You can buy a “season pass” for $14.99.
$14.99 dived by $2.99 an episode is only 5 episodes.
CBS are calling 5 episodes a season (???)

So far CBS have only announced (via press releases) that they’re airing 5 episodes.

1×01: Red Door / 1×02: Paint It Black (July 10th, 2010)
1×03: The Fat Lady Sings the Blues (July 17th, 2010)
1×04: The Unguarded Moment (July 24th, 2010)
1×05: Vexation of Spirit (July 31st, 2010)

Did airing 7 of the 13 episodes, get changed to only 5 episodes? :(

We first found out that Aaron had been cast in THE BRIDGE in July 2008. Almost 2 years later and the day has finally come…..

The 2-hour pilot episode of THE BRIDGE
premieres tonight (Saturday July 10th) on CBS @ 8/7c

The CBS and CTV schedule. Click on thumbnails to enlarge images.

I’ll post an entry for the episode review thread later today. But instead of creating a new episode review thread for the USA screening of THE BRIDGE, what I will do is post a new entry but include the link to the review thread that we had for the episode when it aired on CTV (Canada) and you can add your comments there.

Make sense? This way we won’t have two separate episode threads for the one episode.

For those of us that have already watched season one of THE BRIDGE, please do not post spoilers for upcoming episodes. I know that everyone already knows not to, but I just needed to say it :)

THE BRIDGE: CBS Fail

CBS have FINALLY updated the website page they have for THE BRIDGE.

THE BRIDGE: Welcome to The Bridge – Some interesting/useless facts

There is only one more sleep until THE BRIDGE premieres in the USA (Saturday July 10th).
In today’s edition of “Welcome to The Bridge” here are some interesting/useless facts about ‘The Bridge’.

Inga Cadranel (who plays Jill, one of the main characters on ‘The Bridge’), is married to Gabriel Hogan. Gabriel is also an actor and will appear in an upcoming episode of ‘The Bridge’ (1×05: Vexation of Spirit). Gabriel Hogan is the son of actor Michael Hogan. Michael Hogan played (yes, you guessed it) Col. Saul Tigh on Battlestar Galactica.

Aaron’s BFF Colin Corrigan can be seen briefly in the pilot episode of ‘The Bridge’.

Colin played Marine Allan Nowart on Battlestar Galactica. If you’re a fan of SUPERNATURAL, that was Colin playing the demon (with the brief case) who got to beat up Sam Winchester in the alleyway in episode 5×14: My Bloody Valentine (You can watch a video clip of that HERE). Colin was also at DragonCon 2008 and joined in on the BSG panel.

In the pilot episode of ‘The Bridge’, Aaron can be seen wearing this tshirt.

That is Aaron’s own tshirt. No he didn’t ‘steal’ it from wardrobe :) He’s been wearing their designs for years, long before ‘The Bridge’ even existed.

The t-shirt is from 7lightningbolt*. Below are some more items that Aaron owns from the same designers.

UPDATE: This is their ETSY page.

Toby Proctor guest-stars in the pilot episode of ‘The Bridge’. Toby has appeared in some of Aaron’s tweets.

‘The Bridge’ to air on CBS in summer slot
Canadian cop drama to premiere July 10 at 8 p.m.
By: Etan Vlessing
Date: May 25th, 2010

TORONTO — The Canadian cop drama “The Bridge” has landed a summer slot on CBS.

Canadian broadcaster CTV on Monday confirmed the E1 Television series will air on CBS on Saturday nights at 8 p.m. from July 10.

CTV launched “The Bridge” on March 5 on its main network here ahead of CBS after the U.S. network and co-producer delayed airing the Canadian drama about big-city union politics until a primetime slot opened up.

The Canadian broadcaster will repeat the first season of the homegrown cop drama day-and-date with CBS from July 10.

THE BRIDGE stars Aaron Douglas (“Battlestar Galactica,” “Smallville”), Paul Popowich (“Angela’s Eyes”), Frank Cassini (“Vice”), Theresa Joy (“All the Good Ones are Married”), Ona Grauer (“Stargate SG-1) and Michael Murphy (X-Men: The Last Stand”).

CHANGELINGS (aka Betwixt): not picked up by THE CW

As you may remember, Aaron was going to play Detective Jim Frakes in the THE CW tv show CHANGELINGS (aka Betwixt). A pilot episode was filmed and they were waiting to see if THE CW would pick it up. Today (May 20th) THE CW announced their 2010-2011 Primetime TV Schedule and CHANGELINGS is not listed :(
http://blog.cwtv.com/2010/05/20/the-cw-announces-2010-2011-schedule

The tweets by some of the stars of the show seems to confirm that it was not picked up.

Josh Henderson: Sooooo surprised/confused/dissapointed… Hmmm I need something positive n my life today. Quick.
Jessy Schram: They took a pass on Betwixt

I haven’t heard from Aaron because he’s filming KILLER MOUNTAIN and his cell phone reception comes and go. But I did talk to him last night about it and he said he’d heard rumours it hadn’t been picked up.

CONVENTION APPEARANCE: Phoenix Comicon 2010 (Update)

Aaron has been cast as Ward Donovan in a MOW titled KILLER MOUNTAIN. Filming is from May 17th – June 4th, 2010. Aaron was scheduled to appear at Phoenix Comicon (May 27th – 30th, 2010). Aaron will shoot all night Friday, go straight to the airport from the set and fly out to Phoenix at 7:30am on Saturday morning. So go gentle on him on Saturday because our guy is going to be tired.

Aaron’s guest panel was scheduled for Friday afternoon. I’m just waiting to hear back on whether or not they are able to reschedule this for another day. Photo Ops for Saturday and Sunday will go ahead as scheduled.

UPDATE: The convention organisers were able to reschedule Aaron’s guest panel and (OMG I am soooo jealous that I won’t be there) ….. Aaron will be doing his guest panel with WIL WHEATON on Sunday (May 30th) at 3pm. I’ve updated Aaron’s schedule for the con with the new details. You can view that HERE.

Paul Campbell (Billy Keikeya on BSG) is also in the movie. Aaron says it’s a “scifi MOW” but with the name ‘Killer Mountain’, I’m wondering if it’s a SyFy channel movie :)

Paul Campbell is playing Tyler.
Torrance Coombs is playing Chance.
Andrew Airlie is playing Walter Burton.
Emmanuelle Vaugier is playing Kate Pratt. Kate is the ex-girlfriend of Aaron’s character.

With ulterior motives at play, danger and mayhem ensue. ‘Killer Mountain’ is produced by Chris Bartleman and Jeff Schenck, and directed by Sheldon Wilson. Betwixt is now Changelings / Review of pilot episode

Betwixt Name Change

THE CW have changed the title of the tv show BETWIXT to CHANGELINGS.

As you may remember, Aaron played Detective Jim Frakes in the pilot episode and we are just waiting to hear if THE CW is going to pick it up to become a series. Apparently the announcement will be made on the morning of May 20th, 2010.

Betwixt Pilot Script Review

Travis Yanan has read the pilot script for Betwixt and posted his review.

Pilot Script Review – Betwixt
BETWIXT
Network: CW

Draft Date: N/A

If you know anything about me, you know that my interest is always piqued when there’s something supernatural afoot in a TV show. Just so we’re clear.

There are some interesting character turns and cliffhangers presented at the end of the draft of the pilot I read, as well as love triangle set up. So I see the series… and I’m incredibly interested in seeing what happens next on Betwixt, though I’m not sure how long that interest will remain. The pilot is one of those things that seems to do too much and give too much away and progress the plot too quickly. That kind of thing can be AWESOME for a pilot and can lead to a really lame series that spins its wheels too much, can lead to an AWESOME first season and then the story feels played and burnt out… or the writers can rise above and keep the series going strong. Or the pilot can come in incredibly confusing / long / in need of cuts and fixes.

THE BRIDGE: Email CTV for a 2nd season

Aaron wrote the below on his autograph table at the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo.

I know it doesn’t even have an air date for the USA yet but could everyone please help out and email CTV (programming@ctv.ca ) and ask them to pickup The Bridge for a second season? When emailing CTV we want them to think we’re Canadian viewers so don’t mention you’re in the USA (if you are) and ask when it will air on CBS because CTV have no control over that.

MESSAGE FROM AARON: April 27, 2010

DVD pics

Hey everyone!!

I know I am behind on the pics for DVD’s as I have a small stack of envelopes in my office that need a picture and then to be sent.

I will get on this when I get back from Germany. The problem was that I ran out of pics, ordered more, got them the day before Calgary, ran out of them in Calgary and I have now ordered more which will be here waiting for me when I get home from Germany.

So, thank you all so much for your support, your DVD’s and, most importantly, your patience. I will get them to you, I promise.

Thanks all.

PS. For those of you who will be in Germany at Fedcon…. I cannot wait. I leave for the plane in 5 hours from the time I am writing this.
;-)

PPS. Sorry I have taken so long to write this note as well. I re-did my computer, it logged me out of LJ, I couldn’t remember the password, I had to, once again, get Michelle to come to my rescue… blah blah blah….

THE BRIDGE: airing December 2010 on CBS (???)

On April 18th 2010, CBS posted a link to a synopsis for THE BRIDGE. When you click on that link it reads December 2010 above the synopsis. Hopefully this doesn’t mean anything. FOX, NBC, ABC have already released their summer schedules. Now we just have to wait for CBS to release theirs and pray to the Lords of Kobol we don’t have to wait until December 2010 to watch The Bridge :(
