THE STRANGER BESIDE ME: 20 Years ago today

The TV movie THE STRANGER BESIDE ME aired 20 years ago today (March 21, 2003). Aaron Douglas played Prosecutor Baines opposite Billy Campbell as Ted Bundy.

It still makes me laugh that Aaron and Rekha Sharma (playing Dr. Thurston) had a scene together and neither of them remember each other from it 🤣

Here’s an audio interview that Aaron Douglas did with Below the Belt Show at the Baltimore Comic-Con (October 2019). After listening to it I messaged Aaron and asked “why are you saying Mary’s surname weird? Is that how you’re supposed to pronounce it and we’ve all been saying it wrong this whole time?” And he replied “Yes. That’s the proper Scottish way. She told me years ago that only myself and her dear friend, famous actor who passed away, said it correctly”. Well there you go, I HAD NO IDEA!!!! But …. the way the host pronounces Galen, that is WRONG. lol.

Yesterday the Ted Bundy movie starring Zac Efron was released on Netflix. In 2003 long before they knew each from BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, Aaron Douglas and Rekha Sharma were in a Ted Bundy movie together called The Stranger Beside Me.
