HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! Today* is the 20 year anniversary of the first day of filming on the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Miniseries.
* We think it was April 1st 2003 but we haven’t been able to confirm it. IMDb says that filming was 1 April 2003 – 6 June 2003. The book ‘Battlestar Galactica: The Official Companion’ written by David Bassom says “Principal photography for the miniseries occured between 1 April and 12 June 2003”. Jamie Bamber told Aaron that he knows his first day of filming on the miniseries was April 3rd because it was his 30th birthday and he believes that James Callis and Tricia Helfer had already been filming for a couple of days before that. You would think with a start date of April 1st (April Fools’ Day) someone would remember if that was the correct date or not. April 1st was a Tuesday in 2003 so it maybe could have been Monday March 31st that was the first day of filming 🤷♀️
Where’s Wally?/Waldo? How many can you spot from the main cast? I can see Adama, Roslin, Chief, Starbuck, Apollo, Dualla, Col. Tigh, Elosha, Cally, Prosna, Billy, Capt. Kelly. And director Michael Rymer, EP David Eick and Harvey Frand. I can’t see Gaius, Six, Sharon, Helo, Gaeta. They were probably filming elsewhere when the photo was taken.
