THE WEDDING COTTAGE airs TONIGHT, Saturday April 15 at 8pm/7c on the @hallmarkchannel in the USA and the @w_network in Canada.

I got to see a sneak peek of the movie because Aaron has been asked to live tweet the east coast airing at 8pm ET. The movie is seriously so good. I burst out laughing so many times at Aaron’s delivery of his lines. Someone needs to give this man a comedy. And yes, it even made me cry too. It is such a great movie.

SYNOPSIS: To launch Vanessa Doyle’s (Erin Krakow) new book – Tying the Knot – A Wedding Guide – she holds a contest offering one lucky couple an all-expense paid wedding. The winning couple needs to get married quickly, as the groom (Drew Henderson) is being deployed and the bride (Matreya Scarrwener) finishes grad school in just a few weeks. The couple chose The Wedding Cottage for their nuptials but unbeknownst to Vanessa, it’s been closed for years and is in disrepair. Evan Stanford (Brendan Penny), an artist who inherited the cottage from his grandmother, has been using it as his temporary residence while he waits for inspiration for his next masterpiece. He has no intention of reopening, but Vanessa wants her clients to have their dream wedding and is determined to restore the cottage. With only five weeks before the big day, Vanessa uses all her charm to convince Evan to reopen and build relationships with the residents of Stony Brook to create a magical wedding for the bride and groom. As Vanessa and Evan grow closer, it becomes clear how much The Wedding Cottage has meant to the town and how much more it now means to both of them.

EDIT: If anyone is interested, the cottage used in this film was featured heavily in the 2019 thriller THE INTRUDER starring Michael Ealy, Meagan Good and Dennis Quaid. That movie is 95% about the house. I was taking screen captures while watching ‘The Intruder’ and in-between filming on ‘The Wedding Cottage’ Aaron was taking photos inside the house trying match them up to the screen caps. lol.

To promote the movie THE WEDDING COTTAGE, Erin Krakow has been posting behind-the-scenes videos and photos daily in the lead up to the premiere.

Today Erin posted a BTS video with Aaron. Some context for those of you that don’t watch WHEN CALLS THE HEART. The fandom are called Hearties. Erin is the star of that show and Aaron was in a S6 episode (6×08: A Call from the Past). His character was called Amos Dixon and he took Erin’s character hostage in the saloon.

Well that was quick. The movie Aaron filmed in February is called THE WEDDING COTTAGE and it’s airing next week Saturday (April 15) at 8pm ET/PT on the HALLMARK channel in the USA. It’s also airing on the same date/time in Canada on the W NETWORK. It’s also available from April 16 on PEACOCK in the USA if you have the Premium subscription.

The movie stars Erin Krakow (When Calls the Heart) and Brendan Penny (Chesapeake Shores). “A wedding guide creator (Erin Krakow) must convince an uninspired artist and owner of a special wedding cottage (Brendan Penny) to renovate the rundown cottage to host a contest-winning couple for their dream wedding”.

There have been two preview trailers released for the movie so far (see those trailers below) but Aaron is not in them. And he’s not in any of the promo photos or mentioned in the synopsis. Which is strange but I’m thinking that’s because ***SPOILER WARNING*** he plays Daryl Froelich, the contractor that renovates the cottage. So maybe including him is a spoiler because the trailer seems to be aiming at “ooohhhh will she talk the grumpy man into letting her renovate his cottage?”. SPOILER … she does because Aaron’s character is the contractor that does it 😃

Aaron just recently finished working on a tv movie. I’m not allowed to give you any details just yet because of the whole NDA thing. But I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that we have something to look forward to. The female lead he has worked with before. The male lead is a BSG fan but he wanted to fanboy to Aaron over DIRK GENTLY. I love that so much because it is my favourite role Aaron has played (besides Chief). The home they were filming in was used in a Blake Lively movie, so in Aaron’s down time in between filming he was completing a scavenger hunt matching screen caps 😀
