This was my first chance to work with my friend Troy Scott @troydirects as Director/Actor. He’s a BSG Alum. I am so honoured to have done this film with him. Meagan @meagangood is simply marvellous, on screen and off. Kind, funny and smart. Faith @faithmoriah crushes it in her role as Alicia. What a gift to work with her, an amazing young lady. This is a dark film and these ladies committed to every take. Tough work and I am humbled by their commitment.

Synopsis: When Dana (Meagan Good) and Curtis’ (Roger Cross) 16-year-old daughter, Alicia (Faith Wright), sneaks out of the house to attend a party, a bout with teenage rebellion quickly escalates into a widespread search party spearheaded by Dana and the police. After almost a year of searching for her missing daughter, mother’s intuition leads Dana to the salacious world of online escort ads where, to her horror, she finds her Alicia listed for sale. Dana and Curtis spring into action and attempt to “buy their daughter back” in order to rescue her from the trafficker (Aaron Douglas) who abducted Alicia and subjected her to unspeakable harm. I hate to give spoilers but I also feel that I need to warn anyone wanting to watch this, that Aaron plays a sex trafficker of teenage girls and he had to film some pretty awful scenes. So please consider yourself warned. Obviously it’s all pretend/acting but I’m going to find it really hard to watch him in this one.

The director of the movie is Troy Scott who was a 3rd AD (Assistant Director) on all of Season 2 and the first 16 episodes of Season 3 of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. So it was great for Aaron to have someone on set that he knows and trusts for such a delicate subject matter. Obviously it’s all acting/pretending and there was an intimacy coordinator on set to make sure everyone was ok. I am excited for Aaron to play someone VERY different, but still, this one is going to be a really hard movie to watch him in.
