video description: A short film by Darcy Van Poelgeest

An ex-cop (Aaron Poole) finds himself in a life-altering dilemma when his old partner (Aaron Douglas) rounds him up to take care of some unfinished business. Darcy Van Poelgeest’s (Corvus) daring story structure foregrounds the unthinkable actions taken by these men of violence, ensuring that the drama hinges on the lingering ramifications. The imposing landscape of Spences Bridge is used sublimely, stoking the pervasive sense of dread.

The Visitor (Short Film) (2006)

I managed to get my hands on a copy of the THE VISITOR, a short film that Aaron has a small role in as a cop. The movie was filmed in May 2006 which was around the same time that they were filming the start of season 3 of BSG. Which explains why Aaron has his ‘New Caprica’ beard.

Aaron Douglas – The Visitor

If anyone is wondering, that’s Aaron’s friend Ryan Robbins in the car. Ryan played Charlie Connor on BSG and is currently starring as Henry Foss on Sanctuary and Wendell Linham on The Guard. There’s a photo of Aaron and Ryan on the set of The Visitor in the ‘Exclusive Photos from Aaron’ section of the website HERE.

VIDEO: The Bridge (Short Film) (2004)

For those of you that have been around here for awhile, you maybe remember the 15 minute short film that Aaron was in called THE BRIDGE. I found a link for the movie a little over a year ago and posted about it HERE. It is a streaming video and unfortunately when you try and watch it you would get to see about 5 seconds of the movie and then it would sit there and buffer for awhile and then you’d get another 5 seconds and then it would buffer again and so on and so on.

Anyway, the other day I received a message from seeyaroundsv (a fan of Erica Durance, who is also in the film) to tell me that he had worked out how to download the movie and he sent me the instructions. And I’m very happy to report that it worked. Guys, you seriously need to watch this movie. This is the best thing that I’ve ever seen Aaron in. I guarantee that you will love it.

Aaron is also in 4 of the 6 “behind-the-scenes” videos.

LOL at the last making of video … “I’m changing my name to Godzilla and I’m coming from the ocean to get you”.

In honour of this May the Fourth, I thought I’d share something that’s rarely been seen. This is a clip from one of our very first short films shot back in 2005. “EPIC: The Making of the Sir Arthur P Laymond Story”, featuring the incomparable Harrison Ford. A fun little rarity.
