Chief Tyrol: I like most things I do because they are usually so different. I don’t really get type casted at all and that allows me to do many other things.
Guest stars? Any of the Trek guys would be cool. I will think about that one and get back to you.
I think tyrol will probably go into denial when the truth about Boomer gets out but as all men when it sinks in he will be the one most betrayed and somehow understanding of her ‘I didn’t know’ response. I still think Tyrol should be the one to kill her.
I am reading a lot of James Patterson right now and Douglas Preston. I like the mystery escape. After this I am moving onto some sci-fi. I am just trying to figure out which one.
thanks for the chat and sorry this is so late in getting back to you but I have been away for three weeks.

Colonel McQueen: Tigh had to make a very tough decision to depressurise some compartments of the Galactica to smother the fire on board. The result was a significant loss of life of Chief Tyrol’s crew.
Adama backed Tigh’s decision and indicated it was the right one.
In your view do think Tyrol would come to that realization after time has passed and maybe give a grudging respect for Tigh, or would this be an ongoing issue with Tyrol that will fester?Spook: This might be a silly question, but I’m going to ask it anyway…
I’m curious about the audition process. Do you usually know what the character you’re auditioning for is like? Or do you just get a bit of a script and are left to make your own mind up accordingly? I suppose I’m really asking whether it’s made clear how the casting people want you to play a role during the audition, and whether you get much preparation time?
Chief Tyrol: Colonel. Good question. I think that Tyrol views Tigh as weak and influenced by his drinking and makes decisions that are made while under the influence. That is what clouds this decision and makes it more interesting to play and watch. It may have been the right decision but Tyrol feels it should have been made by someone less “affected”. Had it been made by Adama I don’t think Tyrol would have objected quite as strenuously. I think for this reason he will never quite forgive Tigh.
Spook. Not a silly question at all. Sometimes you have access to the entire script but often it is just the scene that you are auditioning. You get with the ‘sides’ something that is called a breakdown which is a description of the character and story. I read that, read the scene and I just go with my instincts. I read it out loud the first time to myself and it just comes out how it does. It usually does not deviate too far from that first read. Other actors do completely different things when preparing a scene. You have to realize that the casting people are bringing you in to see what you will do with the role. They like the idea of you and your style in this part so just be yourself and do what you do. That is what they want to see. It sounds simple and in fact is generally is. Many actors over think the audition and what they are going to do in it, but in life we don’t usually think about how a conversation is going or whether or not you picked up the pen when you were supposed to so why do that in an audition? Acting is living truthfully in imagined circumstances.
Be real baby!!
